Depressed and Frustrated

Hello all!

I'm new to the forums and am in need of some encouragement.

My weight has fluctuated my entire life. Sometimes I'm fat, sometimes I'm medium. The past two years though, have been the most stressful of my life and I've been more fat than anything else. Finally, at 207 lbs, I've decided to take control of the situation and actually calorie count and exercise. I've been doing this for the past three weeks quite successfully. I feel better and have more energy.

However, today I received an email from a woman I ordered my wedding dress from 2 years ago on etsy. It's been a beast just trying to get her to ship, I'm not even angry anymore that it's been this long. I'm just glad that she's ready to finally send it to me.

Well, I was going back through our messages and realized that with the weight I've gained, I probably won't even be able to squeeze into the dress. :( I'm pretty heartbroken that I've waited this long and I won't even be able to wear it right away. I just need some encouragement to keep going. I need to lose 6 inches to fit back into it. At this point, it just seems impossible.

Has anyone else had a similar situation?

--Thanks--

When is your wedding? Are you trying to lose 6 inches overall or just from your waist?

The wedding will happen whenever we can afford it. :/ I'm hoping for a court house wedding in May, then a big party next year.
When I initially ordered, my waist was 35' but I'm now at 41'. The dress has free hips, so I should be ok there. However, my bust is a bit larger now too. Back then it was 42' and now it's 46'.

I suppose I'm just trying to lose that much from my waist. I've been jogging for 30 minutes every day for the past two/three weeks and restricting my calories to 1400 a day. I intend to up the daily jogging to 45 min but I want to ease into it.

Good luck!
I haven't personally tried it, but lots of people seem to really like the 30 day shred videos.

Congrats on your engagement!

I was going to say the 30 day shred, I have seen so many pictures of girls losing many inches with it. I think it's about 10 bucks going to get a copy myself to try and tone up hopefully. Welcome and hope u exceed your wedding dress measurements after the wedding of course.

It's great news that there isn't a set date though! You will get there before you know it! Try not to be too down on yourself and just continue on with the fantastic job you already started!!!

I also vote 30 Day Shred. Worked like a charm.
