I feel so far away from 180 today. I'm up half a pound from last week which I'm chalking up to water weight from major muscle soreness, but it's frustrating. A month of South Beach and I've lost net 9 pounds -- 8 pounds in the first week and then bouncing up/down 2 pounds in the last three weeks. At least I'm exercising and more aware of my eating patterns/desires to eat. I have to remember these are major NSVs, but boy oh boy do I want the scale to get to 180 by mid March!

Glad to read of others' successes on this thread. Hope to be able to report a scale victory next week.

Hi EliseV - Congrats on your weight loss!

Don't let water weight or a small plateau get you down. I'm fighting like crazy to get to 180, and that's only 6 pounds for me. Talk about frustrating! For me, it's been a really bad cold and TOM. I try not to get down on myself and ride out the stress. I know that for me, once I get stressed out about my weight, I begin to plateau or go up in the pounds. overall, it's all about the good decisions. So, try to stay focused on the good choices you're making and stick with it.

We can do this!

CoffeeShopGirl, THANK YOU. I was just sitting here battling my demons telling me to give up and eat whatever I want to soothe myself...BUT your kind words of encouragement have turned me around. I'm going to drink some water, prep lentil soup for dinner, and go to the gym. This online support works! Yes, we can do this!! :-)

Hey can I join? 180 has been my mini goal for a while now. It's what I weighed in my freshmen year of high school. I've been maintaining between 211 and 214 for the past 2 months and I want to break through and finally see some real weight loss!

Great JOB Everyone!

Can I jump in on this thread? I weighed in at 193 this morning (yay!). my mini goal is 179.5 because I'll be considered overweight and not obese, but lets just round to 180 .
Here's to a good week where we stay on plan!

Congrats ladies on your victories this week!! A big welcome to everyone who is joining in with us.

~If I had been diligent over the past couple days I wouldn't have to report a 2.4 gain but some might be water of coarse and I'm back to my fitness and healthy foods so that I can crush the numbers towards this goal.~

Hey everyone!

Since I'm officially done with my test its time to add a proper diet to my exercise routine! I weighed 192 yesterday (ate horribly throughout the weekend!) And today I was back at 190. Ate really well today no bad sugar, which is a major plus for me, I'm staying within 1200-1700 and hoping I see some results. Anyone here ever get excited and scared at the same time? I'm so excited to start this since my heart is 100% in this but scared my 100% won't be enough sometimes...hopefully that makes sense. Hope you all are off to a good week!

So glad my response helped EliseVi!

hhm6 - Congrats on the weight loss! Keep up what you're doing, because it's working!

As for me, I decided to start a weight loss/life blog. I seem to be stuck in a loop, where I just don't really care about finding motivation. I'm not necessarily depressed, but more so happy in my indulgences and apathetic to my weight gain. Instead of continuously posting here about the same struggle, I decided to start a blog where I can explore my feelings a bit more.

The ultimate goal is to figure it out so I can report some progress to everyone!

Hope you're all having a good Wednesday...it's almost Friday!!!

How are all of you doing? Any good news to share.
~I am back to 202.. I have to be merciless w/ my eating tonite/Saturday
because I'm allowing myself nachos on Sunday for the Superbowl.
I am sooo hungry too, mostly psychological, due to my 'mental'
self knowing I have to be careful.

All the best to each of you on your (180) goals!!

I was down to 193.2 this am, then we went out for dinner. I didn't do horribly, but ate way more than my normal. AND I have a big party to go to tomorrow night with yummy food, lots of booze, good friends, and other fun diet destroyers! I and going to have to work out and eat super healthily Sunday!

Jennifer1966, great on your loss..good luck with today..drink lotsa water.

~I awoke today at 201.4! I'm happy to be lower.
I changed my ticker but that .4 is not going to
be here tomorrow (if I have anything to do about
it) so no need to put in there. Getting closer to 180.
albeit not as close as I wish but I'm happy nontheless.

HHM6, I love that you also fear jinxing yourself by posting positive news! We're a funny group, aren't we?

I am up a whopping 1.6 pounds today. I don't know why, but I'm going to go do cardio even though "I don't have time," and I'm going to drink lots of water and green tea (heard it is a diuretic). I know this weight will eventually come up for all of us if we keep on plan!

I have to share a little NSV: I went grocery shopping this morning and I was hungry (usually dangerous), but I was NOT tempted to buy something that pops up each spring and usually tips me over into binge mode: Cadbury cream eggs. I saw a huge display, pulled in my abs and fixed my posture, and walked by smiling to myself. It has been a huge power struggle with those darned eggs, but today, I won the battle. Hurrah! :-) OK, off to cardio.

Have a great day, everyone!
