Has your journey rubbed off on your kids?

I made a spinach smoothie-
And my 2 year old stole it and drank it :dizzy:

Part of me is annoyed that now I need to make another (I didn't steal it back!) but part of me is so happy that my toddler likes spinach smoothies!! :D

He's been fighting vegetables at his meals, looks like I have found a sneaky way to deal with this.

yesterday, I let my son pick out some candy as a treat when we went shopping. He's underweight and eats treats in moderation naturally, and I don't want to mess too much with that ability by making anything forbidden. He asked how many pieces of the candy he could have - we looked at the package and it said serving size was 4. He looked at the sugar grams and said, oh, that's too much, and took 2 pieces and was happy with it.

I can't say that his ability to moderate his intake like that is me rubbing off on him because I don't have it! :) But looking at the nutrition labels and using that info to make better choices is definitely something he's learning from me.

Our food was already pretty good, but I like seeing my younger one want to do push-ups with me (so cute how his butt goes up and down and not his arms). He loves going to the gym where he's in kidspace, but he's running around and playing and is always exhausted when I pick him up, so we both get a workout in.

I also got him a kids pedometer (geopals) and I'll tell him how many steps he took today (which is ALWAYS more than mine).

My older kid is a slug, (16), but he's going to weights class now and doesn't fight us too, too bad about going.

It rubbed off on my husband a lot when I started working out two years ago - he started up about a month after I did and he said the other day, "I have never kept up with fitness for this long ever in my life" and we both know it's because we are BOTH doing it, so reinforcing each other.
