Congratulations! Babies are so exciting and wonderful! I wish you an easy pregnancy and a happy, healthy delivery!
Just a note for those who suffer from heavy periods and are sure they are done having children. Ask your GYN about treating heavy periods--they use medication (Lysteda), IUDs (Merena), and endometrial ablation. [TMI follows] I had an endometrial ablation a little over a year ago and went from changing an ultra tampon every two hours to using 3-4 regular tampons a day. It's been an incredible change and has really made my period a non-event, instead of something I had to plan around. This is minimally invasive and there's minimal recovery (I took an extra day off of work at the doctor's suggestion, but didn't really need to.) A successful pregnancy is not possible after the endometrial ablation. Since my kids were 16 and 19 (plus a 22 year old step DD), I was confident I wouldn't be having another. Merena is considered a good option for those who may wish additional children. |
Congrats!
