I have such a nice mommy!

Here lately, I've been finding junk food hidden in random places. I found a box of Raisinets in the very back of the lunch meat/cheese drawer in the fridge, a box of Reese Pieces in the Ziplock bag drawer... so on and so forth. I knew it was my mom doing it, but I never said anything to her about it; I just laughed off my mom's supposed attempts at being sneaky. Well, today, I found a donut box w/ 2 donuts left in it in a fridge drawer where we keep beer/bottled alcoholic beverages. And finally, I called my mom out on it, in a light-hearted fashion because I really did think it was funny because I know she's normally not one to hide food like that. Come to find out, she was actually hiding this food so I wouldn't see it and be tempted to eat it. Isn't that thoughtful? I thought so. :smug:

Awww! How sweet :) Nice to have people on your side, isn't it?

I have a similar story. The hubby and I were shopping tonight and he was looking for some study snacks. (He's in law school and currently taking his finals.) But, even though he's on a study food kick, he understands that I want to keep eating healthy. I'm proud of myself that I've been strong enough to resist the foods he's been keeping in the house lately: pizza, doughnuts, and more doughnuts!

So, we were in the store looking at some snacks, and we came across double chocolate muffins. Omg - I wanted one so bad and then I looked at the calories: 480 calories EACH. My eyes got wide and we both backed away, lol. We settled for awesome apple chip cookies. I had one, which I estimated at 200 calories.

I'm glad he understands that we can both compromise with eating: I can work with bad-for-me food in the house and he can buy a lower-than-480 calorie snack.

It's so nice when we find out how much others support us in our weight loss journeys!

Ha! That's cute.

Ha ha ha--that's really funny!!

My husband likes Fiber One brownies. He bought a Costco-size box of like 25. He asked me to hide them, so he won't eat too many at a time, but when I go away during the week, to hide a few in different places, and let him know day by day where they are!

That's nice of her :). I've asked my husband to do the same with things I've found a bit unnecessarily tempting, and he's done it on his own accord with other things, just in case. He wants me to be successful and figures that's a small way to make it easier.

How sweet of her to be so supportive.

I wish my mom did that!

Instead I'm pretty sure she's trying to tempt me! - not really, I'm just easily temptable.

That is sweet of her.
