I was cleared of any thyroid issues on my last doctor's visit. And with that being said, I'm still FREEZING! Luckily I live in the desert and it doesn't get especially cold here, but that doesn't stop me from huddling under the heavy covers while my husband is sprawled out in nothing but boxers, roasting. It makes cuddling difficult sometimes.
I grew up in the Midwest and I was always, always hot. My mom used to say I had my own furnace! Looking back it had to be more than just the layers of extra "padding" on my body, it had to have something to do with how I was burning my food. I know I ate a lot of sugar, and I have the impression that it fuels my fire, so to speak. When I cut it out I no longer get overheated.
I really had trouble adapting to the heat when I first moved here in 2007, but this past summer the 110°+ weather felt strangely wonderful most of the time. I'm wondering if it'll change much once I hit maintenance.
