Thanksgiving... How did everyone do?

Well turkey day has come to a close, how did everyone do? I think I did well if there's any gain tomorrow it's going to be water weight from sodium. Tho I've been drinking water all day. Also my fiancé and I ran our first 5k this morning I did my best mile and 5k today, giving me best mile at 9:30, and total time 31:10. It was sooo fun and exciting and an experience.

Mine went pretty well. I had a plan and stuck to it... for the most part. I had just a protein shake for breakfast. Since we eat "dinner" early (appetizers starting at 2 and dinner at 4), I didn't eat lunch. I made a couple of sides specially for my wife and I as a substitute for the potatoes and stuffing. I ate a lot more fats than I usually do, but I definitely minimized the damage greatly. So, all in all, I'm happy.

I did really well. I just had turkey and I opened a can of spinach and had about a 1/2 cup. I love canned spinach, LOL! I didn't eat anything else for dinner.

The stuffing was tempting though and so was the pumpkin pie but I stood my ground and didn't have any. I had no lunch and for breakfast all I had was an egg and 1 piece of turkey bacon. As a snack, I had a piece of american cheese and 3 wheat thins. I usually don't eat processed foods though.

Not too bad - though the scale will tell over the next couple days! I went to a friends and resisted all desserts. I took a "turkey" veggie platter - raw celery, carrots, red, orange, green peppers, cukes, green onions - arranged on a platter to look like a turkey. And I managed to resist most of the dip and eat just the veggies. Now back to serious business tomorrow.

I'm proud of myself....I ate more than I normally would on a regular day, but I don't feel uncomfortably full and ready to burst like I have on past holidays. Made myself a dish with turkey, mashed potatoes, carrots, and cranberry sauce. I held off on the rolls because I can have dinner rolls numerous times throughout the year and, thankfully, there weren't too many desserts calling my name. If there were cookies or brownies instead of the pie, I would have been in trouble!! haha

I also made sure to get up early this morning and head to the gym before it closed at noon to get some activity in before the day! Also, dinner was taking a lot longer than expected to finish cooking, so my nieces and I had a Dance Party in the living room while waiting to eat ;)

I did well and I exercised today too, so I'm hoping the damage isn't too much!

Actually, the issue today was some kettle corn that found its way to me...!!!

I will not lie ladies! I ate ! Matter of fact; I ate my azz off! Lol.. Then had prune juice.. So I am good! I had a good time and the food was good and the drinks were good.

Dolly - congrats on your race success - that's great!!

Just had turkey and veggies (with mashed cauliflower subbing for the starchy stuff) - no pie or rolls. I had 1.5 glasses of wine but that shouldn't be enough to mess with the scale.

Hope you all did well!

Not very well. I knew I was going to eat what I wanted today. I'm getting back at it in the morning. But I did workout for hour and half tonight.

I'm another one that just didn't worry about it today. I had a little bit of everything and some dessert, then fixed me another plate of "seconds" to have for dinner so I didn't gorge myself. I had a great day with my family with great food! Nom!

I did OK, but not great. I netted 2000 calories for the entire day. Including a bit of everything for lunch including green bean casserole and mashed potatos. I had a small turkey sandwich for dinner and will have some pecan pie later for dessert..all accounted for. Overall I will still be ahead for the week.

OK, I officially declare you all saints. As a Canadian I celebrated Thanksgiving several weeks ago, and I don't even LIKE Thanksgiving foods, but I ate a lot more than most of you.

866 calories. I didn't eat breakfast or lunch. Just dinner. Then I worked out for an hour after I came home.

I did quite bad! But Thanksgiving and Christmas are my two freebies, I don't count calories or try to even write down or think of everything I eat. They're days for celebrating and enjoying for me, and if it means I gain 1lb and have to be stricter next week I'm fine with that :) Tomorrow I'm gonna try to work out and eat relatively OP and keep leftovers to normal sized healthy portions. I'm really close to my goal though, and feel okay with eating maintenance for a week :D

i did awful. i figure if this is a lifestyle change then stuffing myself on thanksgiving is one thing i want to keep in my new life.

thanksgiving, christmas, and my b-day i just eat whatever i want usually. ill make up for it in the next week and i enjoy a few days a year to just do whatever. i think what really messes people up is the before and after permission they give themselves. stuffing yourself on christmas isnt going to do much harm, but if you give yourself free reign over cookies/snacks all month, or celebrate your birthday going out to dinner with different people for a week and eating leftover cake... you're in trouble.

i didnt bring home any leftovers and ill be right back on track tomorrow. i dont think one meal can be that bad, but to those of you who avoided temptation, GREAT job!
