  • Probably isn't the best place to put this, but I wanted to share in a place where everyone would see it:

VANILLA GREEK YOGURT AND APPLES ARE DELICIOUS!

    That is all!
  • Thanks for the PSA! I like grapes and yogurt.
  • In a similar vein... I love getting the pre-cooked canned "apple pie filling" with SPLENDA at Walmart - pretty low in calories and very tasty. I mix in one packet of chocolate chip oatmeal, nuke it for 1 min, and have a huge bowl of apple crisp for about 200 calories.
  • My mom bought me some apple cinnamon chobani the other day. Yum.

She's the best mom ever. I happened to say "I really like Chobani" one day and then the next day the fridge had a bunch. Yayyyy.
  • Thanks for the idea! I love Vanilla Greek yogurt. I often eat it with fresh pineapple, strawberries and berries but have not tried it with apples. But I sure will! I am always looking for something new to try.
  • Well, it so happens I was getting ready to eat some Zoi Greek Vanilla yogurt when I read this. So I went and chopped up half of a Pink Lady apple and put into it. Yum... you are right. Very tasty

That sounds absolutely divine! I might have to try that!
  • And btw I used Yoplait Greek yogurt, but I'm sure other brands are just as tasty! I use the non-fat kind, too.
  • My absolute favorite is Fage Greek yogurt with honey. Soooo good!!

Yoplait is really good! I tried some the other day

Although in my house I am regulated to Chobani because my brother likes Yoplait and hates Chobani!

This sounds incredible. I think I have a can of that stuff lying around somewhere. Must try it...

I'm one of the odd ones who dislikes any sort of yogurt but apples with a drizzle of honey with tiny bits of honeycomb in it is one of my favorite healthy snacks =D
  • LOL I guess we all have different tastes. I used to like Chobani but it was hard to find so I tried Zoi and LOVE it. Now that is all I buy

    100% agreed. Love natural sweeteners!
  • I love using flavored yogurt as a vegetable dip, and vanilla is one of my favorites. I've used regular and greek yogurts (and now since I make my own, I usually use my own - though I usually don't strain it to make greek yogurt).

The other day I mixed some Torani sugar free "caramel" flavored syrup and a bit of PB2 (powdered, defatted peanut butter) into my homemade yogurt to dip apples into (aiming for a caramel apple effect).

It worked (sort of) but the caramel flavor leaned more towards butterscotch than caramel (and I absolutely HATE, HATE, HATE butterscotch). In fact, that's why I added the PB2 to try to mask the butterscotchy flavor - which did help, but it was still alittle too b'scotchy for my tastes.
  • I've tried several brands of the greek yogurt and I can't stand any of it. Gag. Actually yogurt in general has changed so much the last few years, I don't buy or eat any of it anymore. It's just yuck. I used to love the stuff and I do miss it.

I do however do a lot of things with fat free sour cream and fat free cream cheese.
