It's both easier and harder when you don't have a job. It's easier because you have time to go workout, plan what to eat, cook healthy meals and generally put time into the weight loss effort. For me, it's also a bit hard because staying home, with food around, is always a tempting situation to just eat all day. And then obviously, it can be a little depressing (which can lead to extra munching) when you're fresh out of uni and all your friends seem to be getting fancy jobs and you're moving back home. I've been there, I know! But yeah, that said, you can definitely lose weight any time even without a job if you're committed.

I am currently job hunting and losing weight just fine. It is great to take advantage of the gym during the day while so few other people are there. :)

Unfortunately no, you can't. This has been well researched and study after study shows that when you have lots of free time to work out and prepare healthy meals you simply pile on the weight.

I suggest you get a job ASAP so you can start losing weight again.

If it is structure that you require I would suggest that you make a gym schedule as well as a weekly meal plan. Get your workout done in the morning, so you can hit the pavement and job hunt for the rest of the day.

Yes, you can "LOSE" while unemployed.

"Lose", as in lose weight.

"Loss", as in I had a weight loss this week.

"Loose", as in my pants are loose because I lost weight!

Those spelling issues just drive me absolutely crazy!:dizzy: Leftover from and old school teacher who insisted we learn to use words in the proper context and spell them properly. She would roll over in her grave about the way those 3 words are misused here.

And then she would make you write them on the board until you got it drilled into your head so hard you would never forget.;)
