I am in love with my fitbit! Like everyone says, nothing is 100% accurate, but it's the general idea of calories burned and activity that you're going for. I can't say enough how much I love my fitbit! It helped me lose about 12 pounds right off the bat. I looked into Body Bugg but i didn't want to pay a monthly fee and didnt' want to wear that thing on my arm. The fitbit I'm able to put on my bra, shirt, belt loop, in my pocket, etc. :) And the logging of food is really easy, too. I create my own 'meals' and then it's super easy to just log them all the time... I suppose that's only really helpful if you tend to eat the same things all the time (I do). Enjoy, with whatever you get!

Thanks guys. I see there is a new fitbit coming out later this month. I wonder what the difference will be from the new one to the current one.

doesn't seem like any difference at all really, if anything, the old one is better? Unless I'm reading something wrong.

I think the sweat/rain/splash-proof feature looks like a big plus compared the Ultra. I have neither but I'm definitely interested...

The only thing I can think of is the product design changed in thickness and possibly in durability. When I was researching the fitbit, I did find some people who had their fitbit split in half, cracking in the center after lots of time/usage. I got one anyway because the stories I read stated that fitbit backed their product and sent free replacements. This is only a guess...but the new design might be thicker to prevent cracking.

I noticed they have another new product that is less expensive at 59.95. The main difference from what I can see is that it doesn't track stairs climbed. Since we live in a rural area and don't have stairs, this is a feature I don't use often anyway. DH is wanting a fitbit now and I think this one might work just as well. Also, its design is a little larger and more like most other pedometers which I think is good if you would be wearing it on a belt or in a pocket. I like the small one for my bra...but my OH doesn't wear a bra, LOL.
