I wear hospital scrubs for work so those hide a lot but the only person to comment about my weight loss was the girl that does my pedicures. I've only lost 7 pounds but I shrunk quite a bit. My arms are half the size! :carrot: I HATED my arms.
If I ever make it to 140p I am sure people will finally notice. |
I actually prefer people don't compliment me until I've reached my goal weight...I don't even mention I'm trying to lose weight.
|
i dont mention it either and last time i lost a lot it took about 60 lbs before anyone said a word. much like another person mentioned, the compliments came on all at once. i dont know where the invisible line i crossed was exactly, but it was like one day people started noticing.
its super frustrating but they WILL notice, and until then, you know the truth! |

More recently, I went to a conference at near goal weight where I saw people I hadn't seen in a couple of years. I got compliments on my hair instead of my weight loss! My hair did look good, but still. As others have said, some people just aren't going to comment on a woman's weight unless they are invited to do so. The only person at the conference who commented on my weight had also lost a considerable amount -- so we complimented each other. And, really, that was the most meaningful interaction, anyway, because we knew exactly what it took to accomplish this feat! |
