The journey to a healthy lifestyle is a long one, full of pitfalls, successes and things that do or do not work.

The best advice I can give, is, have patience, listen to your body, sometimes you need to step out of your mind, and quit listening to all the NOISE!

Some days will be good, some not so good, but with patience, and trial and error, you will find what works for you!

Journal your food, exercise and thoughts on the whole process and once a month go back over all you've written down, it can be a great insight!

This journey is not always easy, but so worth it!

I looked for every excuse in the world to NOT go workout after work today, but not one held any water, so I worked out, because I did not have a good excuse and I knew that once I got going I'd be glad I did, and it turns out I was right!:D

Hang in there! And have a diet pepsi! Love the stuff!:D

I attempted to kick my diet soda habit when I started my "diet" and after about a week I was miserable and had bad headaches (no caffeine) and was really sluggish. I also decided that I wasn't on a diet but a lifestyle change and soda really wasn't something I wanted to give up. I crave the fizz and caffeine too much. So I started drinking it again and boy did things get easier to manage

I'd Definately suggest trying out some diet sodas and see how that helps. you could be experiencing sugar or caffeine widthdrawls. for me it was caffeine.

Have a big bowl of watermelon. It's sweet, it'll fill you up, and it won't add weight to your scale tomorrow morning.

This thread was EXACTLY what I needed to see today. Thank you everyone for taking the time to comment. Not only did it likely help the OP, but I imagine there were lots of others, like me, who got tremendous benefit from it. Lori, your words particularly hit me. They are going on my computer desk at work for the next donut day!

Mmm watermelon sounds so good right now!

OP, hang in there. No one ever said weight loss was easy. That's why it's a billion dollar industry. Don't quit now, you'll only be full of regret if you do.

Also, know that it *will* get easier. There is light at the end of the tunnel, sometimes you just have to gut it out at the start!
