Excuse granted! I'm seriously very over excited about this scale, but it's amazing!

Your scale sounds fantastic! :D

I had a scale victory today! My scale, as I'm sure many of you can relate, isn't superbly reliable. I have to position it in the same spot every day to even conceive that I may be getting a consistent reading, but the weight that comes up can change by as much as 1-2 lbs each time I step on it, and the position/angle of my body (how much I lean forward, back, to the side, etc.) also affects the reading by as much as 1-2 lbs. SUPER annoying! Anyhow, there are two scales at the gym, an electronic one and a typical beam scale. I haven't been using them much because they both weigh me as 2 lbs heavier than my home scale (which I use first thing in the morning naked, after having peed, before eating/drinking, etc. vs. middle of the day at the gym in my clothing having consumed 0.5L of water, etc.) But I've used them on the rare occassion, and I decided to try both today, and it turns out that while they still weighed me as about 2 lbs more than my home scale, they're both showing a steady downward progression and a fairly similar one at that. Which means I can put some degree of trust/faith in my home scale and believe that it's still ticking well. Whew!!

lol sorry that was a ramble. I really want to get a new one, but I don't know how much I can spend, and I'm hesitant to spend money on something without knowing whether it will be reliable.

Lol I love my scale so much. It's a .1 as well, and my parents won it at a christmas party. Best gift ever!

I like my scale its a .2, but it works just fine. It seems to be pretty accurate as well.

That, and I'm a daily weigh in sort of person. Consistently, every morning. Just have to get up and do it. If I weigh less, its super exciting and I jump up and exercise. If I've gained, It's encouragement to get up and go go go!

OMG. This post cracked me up! It's awesome when we can find little toys that bring us so much happiness. Love it!

I have lost and gained a lot of weight over the years. One thing that doesn't change is my love of the scale. When I'm losing, like now, I am obsessed even though I know that weight fluctuates day by day. I actually started having loooooong conversations with it in my dreams! lol

Archychick, I think I have the same old, white WW scale as you have! It's years old but it has been a trouper for me. LIU, thanks for including the photo and LOL comment about the horizontal stripes. With that said, I want the cool, new one too!!!
