Seriously ready to say "To Heck With It!"

Some of you may know my history. In the last 4 years, I have had 3 eye surgeries to help save my eyesight and just when I was getting back on track and had found a job I really liked, this last March 16th, out of the blue, I had a stroke!

While I truly am/was trying to remain positive, I am getting more and more depressed and ready to throw in the towel. It truly feels like everything is happening all at once!

Yesterday, out of the blue, we had to have our oldest male Pug put down and I am heartsick! He was acting kinda sick and we noticed his gum was bleeding. It stopped and started again when he ate. By yesterday afternoon, he was in bad shape so we rushed him to the Vet ER! Anyone who has pets they love, AND are dealing with going down to one wage earner in the family AND dealing with mounting human medical bills will understand mine and my husbands frustration and heartache.

We were told by the vet he had an advanced stage of cancer that had erupted and that there was no hope! Needless to say, our family is feeling extremely stressed, frustrated and heartsick.

I've put a kind of little "In memory" paragraph on my diet blog.

I, as well as my supportive family could use cyber hugs and support right now! My heartfelt wish is to fully recover from my stroke AS WELL as getting healthier by losing weight, but geez................

So sorry about your dog, I know what a loss it is to lose our beloved pets. I pray things will improve for you health wise and financially, as well.

It can be so hard to focus and keep carrying on in a healthy lifestyle when things just seem to keep coming at you that way, but I promise that saying "To Heck With It" will likely only make things worse.

You need to eat well and exercise to keep your body fully funtional and to help you recover from your surgeries and stroke! The stress of dealing with any death, even a pet, would only be made worse by the inevitable guilt of overeating and the lethargy of being inactive.

In times like these, it can feel selfish to put yourself first and take care of yourself, but in doing so you are really taking care of your family as well. Don't deprive them of the happiest, healthiest YOU that you can be.

sorry to hear about your pug, I've been there with many cats. I second that giving up won't make things easier, plus I don't think your pup would want you to give up!

that's the worst part about owning a pet.. you know one day they will have to leave you. :( sorry for your loss, i know what its like.

fit exercise in when you can, but also rest when you feel you need it. your brain needs it, lol. but don't stuff your face with oreos, it won't solve anything. good luck to you!
