Hey, I thought it was funny!

Keep right on "cracking" those jokes, OK?

I hate to be bring such bad news to the group but...
Lance Cpl Thomas A. Blair was confirmed dead yesterday.

I know he is with God but ... it sure SUCKS !!!!!

Please continue to pray for his family. I cannot imagine how bad they feel. They need all the help they can get. Don't we all.

P.S. It is okay to still have fun in here. He died for us to have that priviledge. God bless him.

2Cute: Sorry about Lance Cpl Thomas A. Blair, life sure isn't fair!!! I saw an interview with one of the wives of one of the fallen Marines on the news lastnight. I just sat here crying worse than the wife on t.v. She said that her hubby being the military man he was would have told her to suck it up and go on with life. I just can't imagine? They had a 2 year old and she was the first to see the Marine men in uniform headed for their front door and was saying Daddy, "oh my heart broke". Makes you stop and think how fragile life is and makes you want to enjoy every minute you are given on this earth with your family. The wife said she knew the day he shipped out he wasnt coming back, said she could just feel it and figured he knew too by the letters she was getting. She was still getting them daily even after he was officially pronounced, I would think this would be nice and sad at the same time. On a lighter note, she did say her dear husband would have wanted the american people here back in the states to go on living like they do and to know he was fighting for what we should believe in, freedom for all!!!

Know I feel I should close and post more later because I will leave this post dedicated to all our fallen soldiers and 'GOD BLESS THEM AND THEIR FAMILIES'

2cute: Oh my gosh, I am so sorry. I know this has to effect you deeply. I sit here with tears for his family knowing that military families are always told "suck it up and go on with your life." We are not super human. You might have a husband that drives a truck and is gone all week or like Sandy a husband that goes out fishing on a boat, but though being a wife you have this little niggling worry about them, you know that they will be back home at the end of the week or whatever. Wives of combat soldiers live the fear every moment of everyday. They try to push it far back in their mind, but the fear is always there. Every time I would see that the ship had been in some skirmish or other, I would temporarily fall apart, but you have kids and you have to protect them.

"Lord, we ladies come to you today with much saddened hearts for the family of the Lance Corporal. He abides with you now Lord, but his family and friends are left to grieve for him. Give them great comfort today and in the weeks to come as they deal with the loss. Help them and us to understand your great plan. Help us all to hold up our heads with pride and honor not only for those fallen, but those still in the battle! We thank you Lord, for these brave men and women, their families and friends. We especially thank you for allowing us to live in the land of the free and the home of the brave. Lastly Lord, we ask that you intervene in Lucky's behalf. We ask for your guidance regarding this new job and if it be your will, that she be allowed to have it. Heal her body dear Lord and give her rest. We all thank you for who you are and we pray this in our Lord's Holy name. Amen"

Thank you ladies for being such lovely friends. I think that I am going to just go for now as I cannot be very embullient when we have heard of this loss of life.

Hi everyone! I've been working on some business stuff this morning and then I came and read, but I decided I was not going to post until I could tell you that I've been on my AirWalker again this morning. WooHoo. That's 4 days in a row! :D

Lucky: Argh!!! Unexpected guests!!! You are so brave to answer the door. I just usually hide and pretend I'm not home. So if you ever come to visit, make sure you call first! :o Hope you're feeling better.

Deon: Honey, you need to get to the bottom of your points range, at least. Eventually, it will catch up with you if you don't. I do know how you feel though. When I'm doing well and getting all of my fruits and veggie servings in (which are 0, 1, or 2 points), it's hard sometimes to get enough points in.

Katrina: Thanks for the article. It was very interesting.

2cute: I'm sorry for all of the losses of life overseas, but especially for the ones that hit close to home. I'm sorry you got the news confirmation that the life of Lance Cpl Thomas A. Blair has been lost. It is a sad day for your little town. [[[hugs]]]

Sandy: I'm with you. Every time they show those little segments where the families can say hello to their service men, I just sit and cry. I can watch all the CNN, and MSNBC but give me a segment where they can talk to the guys and gals and I lose it.

Mary: Here, here! Amen!

Gotta run. The 'baby' still isn't packed and ready to go. Gotta love him. Classes don't start until next Monday so I'm not in any hurry. He'll probably get out of here about the time his dad gets home from work.

I'm going to take the two boys out to lunch. Our last 'together' for a couple of months. I'll talk to you all later. Love  ya bunches.

God Bless America!

2cute2Bfat 03-31-2003 01:23 PM

Okay ladies... The day is slipping by and no one is posting. :(
I hope I did not bring everyone down and are afraid to post now.

Here is a little humor to cheer everyone up. It is almost out of season but I think some of you still have a little snow.
How can you tell the difference between Snowmen and Snowwomen ??

SNOWBALLS..... :o  :o

Today is Motivation Monday. I hope that motivates you to come in here and start sharing YOUR day.

Thin... you snuck in on me. Have fun moving. !!!

katrinabgood 03-31-2003 01:35 PM

2cute, I am so sorry for the loss of your hometown boy and for all the lives lost in this war.

Donna, your prayer was lovely and very moving, thank you for saying it so well.

Thin, I'm so proud of you making good use of that Air Walker. You go girl! Hope lunch with the boys was wonderful.

Deon, I'm with Thin...try to at least stay within your points range. They say varying it each day is very effedtive too! High end one day, low the next. You'll feel like it's a big splurge on the high days! Keep up the good work!

Lucky...ooh! I hate the "pop-in!" I hope you're feeling better.

Mary...You said it all.

That's it for me. Have a good day all. Let's take the time to stop and reflect on how good our lives are and cherish each moment with our loved ones. All the little piddly annoyances seem to disappear when you think about the sacrifices that so many others are making.

love to all......

katrinabgood 03-31-2003 01:38 PM

2cute...that definitely brought a smile to my face!
I can't wait to tell my son!

Grannie39074 03-31-2003 01:40 PM

2cute you devil. LOL

jackslady 03-31-2003 02:14 PM

Like a bad penny, I just keep showing up! I am sorry for leaving so quickly this morning, but it is just really hard for me to deal with military fatalities. The saying, "There but for the grace of God, go there I" always is in the back of my head.

Deon: I agree with everyone else. You are going to have to stay within your points range at least 95% of the time to be successful.
Less is not always best! Eat a spoon of peanut butter on your veggies or mix a boiled egg in your salad!

2cute:   You are such a bad girl. In honor of Donna's dyed blond locks, here is another funny for you all!

A blonde goes into work one morning crying her eyes out.
Her boss, concerned about his employee's well being, asks sympathetically, "What's the matter?"

The blonde replies, "Early this morning I got a phone call saying that my mother had passed away."

"I'm terribly sorry to hear that. Why don't you go home for the day... we aren't terribly busy. Just take the day off to relax and rest."

The blonde very calmly explains, "No, I'd be better off here. I need to keep my mind off it and I have the best chance of doing that here."

The boss agrees and allows the blonde to work as usual. "If you need anything, just let me know," he says.

A few hours pass and the boss decides to check on the blonde. He looks out over his office and sees the blonde crying hysterically. He rushes out to her, and asks, "Are you going to be okay? Is there anything I can do to help?"

"No," replies the blonde, "I just got a call from my sister, and she said that HER mom died too!"

Thin: You go girl! I am telling you, the more of a routine you set up for yourself the more committed you become to it! I am very proud of you. Now for dumb ? of the month, What the heck is an Airwalker?

Lucky: Shame on your relatives. I hate pop ins. Once we had someone invite themselves to our house and so when we left them, I had dh drive the speed of sound home so I could light candles and make sure everything was perfect. Now, you know that I am a psycho cleaner so there was nothing to straighten up, but I was still nervous! Brother! The point was, she once told me she hates people who drop in on her so to always call first!

Jen: How are your plans coming along about getting home and what is the latest regarding your hubby?

Mary: Hope issues with your brother are getting better.

Sara: we miss seeing you here.

Tina: Front and center girl, where the heck are you?

Kat: Thanks for the great article.

Sandy: How is the scale queen?  You know one of these days, that ole scale is gonna fight back and start spinning in circles just to scare you!!!!! As for my cleaning nuttiness, be glad you can be happy in your clutter. Being this way does have its drawbacks big time!

Duckie and Steph: I have missed talking with you too!

I'm here, just been very busy. Had a lot of posts to catch up on. I can never seem to get to the computer on the weekend. The kids slept at my parents on Friday so the hubby and I actually had a night to ourselves. We went out to dinner and also had a big n tasty even though we both had to get up early for work on Saturday. Saturday night we took the kids bowling and then watched One Hour Photo with Robin Williams. It wasn't really scary as much as it was freaky. I liked it though. I had to work again on Sunday, but actually got out on time. I'm still going for my walks. I didn't today as it is cold again. It is supposed to warm up again though. It's supposed to be in the low 70's on Friday. Yippee! I too, want to send my prayers to our troops and their families. My son's school is sending care packages for the troops. Each class is filling a shoebox with iems such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, antibacterial hand wash, shaving cream, candy, etc. I think it is a nice gesture. The troops need our support. Even if you don't support the war, you need to support the troops. They are risking their lives to fight to protect us and our freedom and to try to extend that same freedom to other parts of the world. Ok that's enough from me for now.

I am back.....

Hello I am still here just had a busy weekend. I am still doing pretty good. I am not gonna give up this time. I am going to try to attach a picture of me at the bottom of this. I hope it works. I do respect the fact that some of you value your privacy on here and I do understand :)

Ok I tried to attach a picture and it said that it is to big so I invite you to check out my photo album.http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/leenzac20...Photos&.view=t

katrinabgood 03-31-2003 05:19 PM

Tracy...aren't you a little cutie patootie! Nice pics of the family too...thanks for sharing!

thinthinker 03-31-2003 05:28 PM

Hi girls! Just back for a quick second.

2cute: Ok, funny girl! hahahahaha!!!

Katrina: Lunch with the boys was great. They're such good kids. I can't be prouder of either one of them. :D

Mary: Good to see you, honey. At least we know you're still around. But you CAN talk to us too. We'll listen. [[[hugs]]]

Donna: An AirWalker is much like the 'gazelle' that they advertise on TV infomercials except it has taller handle things on it and the legs swing a little differently. It provides low/no impact for my nasty knees. :)

Steph: One Hour Photo is one I haven't seen and really wanted to. They were saying that it was a really different role for Robin Williams. I will have to put it on my "remember to rent" list. :o

Tracy: Thank you for the site for pics. You and your family are lovely. I have now put you up on my "wall of fame". If you hadn't read it, I have a computer hutch that has doors on it and I have it plastered with pics of my 'chickie' friends.

Well, my sweeties, one of my companies just called and had a last minute cancellation that they want me to pick up, so off I go. The 'baby' still hasn't left the house. He and big brother are trying to work the buggs out of a new video card before he goes.

I will see you all later.

GodBlessAmerica!
