Wear black and navy and other dark colors - they're slimming

Wear the same color head to toe, for the same reason

Never wear horizontal stripes

Never tuck in a blouse

Never wear a belt

Never allow upper arms, midriff or knees to show - the less bare skin the better. No tank tops or shorts no matter how hot it gets, you don't deserve to be comfortable.

and Never, ever, ever let anyone see you in a swimsuit - ever

I live my life now according to what's best for ME, not what's best for the petty idiots who care what I'm wearing.

I absolutely love this!!! Especially the part I highlighted in bold!!! It says what I have been dealing with for the past few years, thank you kaplods :) As a woman of a certain age, I have decided that I am going to wear what I want to wear and if someone doesn't like it...its just not my worry!!!

Stragely enough, I've never had a problem wearing shorts. I think I might still be in denial about how very fat I do look. I'm self conscious about my arms, although I still wear tank tops. It's summer everyday where I live, so I guess I'm used to wearing clothes that shoves my fatness under other people's noses.

I wish I had fashion tips for you but I've really got nothing! You're totally not alone, though; instead of worrying about how to hide my fat rolls, though, I'm going to be worrying about how to get rid of them entirely. I'm not going to wake up thin at the beginning of summer, but I can certainly sweat my butt off at the gym/pool/beach and end the summer thinner than I started it. Good luck to you doing the same!

Wow loved these posts. I always love tee shirts but often feel like i should dress more "appropriately "" i don't know if i would wear different clothes if i was the wt i think i should

I had an epiphany recently. People can still tell I'm fat no matter what clothes I wear ;)

If it's sweltering out, and I brave the world in shorts and a tank top, I will not be laughed at or have tomatoes thrown at me. I even went to the gym and worked out in a tank top -- that was a big deal for me. No one seemed horrified.

My summer clothes do tend towards loose blouses and capri pants. I haven't gotten rid of the inner thigh rub, and shorts can ride up and I find myself doing a Monty Python funny walk to unbunch them!

I live in skirts and dresses. I love them and almost never wear pants. My thighs do rub together though, so I wear these underneath:

Everyday. It's not so bad. And worth it for comfy, flattering skirts!

I can't keep away from sleeveless in the summer, either. I feel a little bad for the world having to look at my chunky arms, but I figure my comfort and happiness is more important than other people's thoughts about my arms!

DietVet, thanks for the undergarment tip! I think I will get some of those! I love skirts & dresses too... so cool in the summer! :D
