A laughing rant...

This morning is the third time in my adult life that I've weighed in at 160.0. The second time was yesterday. I seemed to have dropped to that magic weight where, all of a sudden, none of my clothes fit.

I went to Walmart over the weekend...they had a few sundresses on the clearance rack for $5... I bought them in what I thought was the right size... Or my "new" right size.... and they don't fit. I can't tell if it's the way the dresses are meant to fit or if they're too big. Either way, I'm on my way back to Walmart.

Getting dressed this morning, I put on one of my favorite skirts, that I haven't been able to wear in years. It's huge... baggy all the way around. Hrmph.

I was laying on the couch yesterday and I couldn't get comfortable... Why? Because my hip bone was stabbing me in the arm. I got up and put on my favorite pair of ratty comfy pants... which have always fit at my highest and lowest weight. I rolled the waist band down three times (literally!!!) and they still fell down.

While I'm a bit miffed about the pants and skirt that don't fit... I'm obviously thrilled to be losing again.

However... I'm betting the hipbone thing gets worse, lol.

Way to go! That's a wonderful feeling when the comfy pants are too big to fit.

HotMessMom 06-11-2012 11:31 AM

YAY!!!! Congrats!! Can't wait to get to 160 too!!

way to go! it's so nice when clothes start to big to wear. And I will warn you about the hip bone it does get worse lol I'm constantly banging my arm against it, and it HURTS lol congrats on the weight loss!

Wait till you sit down in the bathtub...your butt bones have no padding and hurt like heck. Congrats on a good thing.

Definitely awesome inconveniences! ;)

I feel you on the hip-bone issue. I'm a stomach sleeper and with a lower weight it's definitely a little less comfortable.

Awesome!! I cant wait to have those problems :)

lol...might be TMI, but that was the other weird thing that happened... I've busted my tailbone twice this week just by sitting down on the toilet. So odd!

Thanks!!!

Aren't they great problems to have!!

I also got annoyed when my favourite clothes started getting too big! Then I thought about it for a minute and realised it was a good thing!

Nice going! I hear ya on the hip bone thing. I've started doing pilates and, every time I have to lie on my side, I think - how do thin people do this? It hurts!

seagirl 06-11-2012 09:18 PM

The hip bone comes in handy when you are carrying a heavy box, you can balance it right on there!
