Ok, so today is officially 1 week since I started. For diet I track calories, 1390-1740, focusing on whole foods. Exercise, Boot camp class M-F which burns 350-550 calories depending on what we do(I haven't exercised in 4 years). I weighed this morning and I'm down 1.6 lbs. Does this sound right? I did stay toward the high end of my calorie range on most of the days. Should I try staying towards the lower part? I'm new to losing weight this way (lifestyle change, not fast like I have done in the past) so just wondering if this sounds about right or if I need to adjust anything?? Thanks!!
Healthy weight loss is .5-2 pounds a week so you are at the higher end of that and doing just fine. Congratulations on getting active again.

Congrats on your loss! Your doing great!
Thats fab, dont worry about the scales , exercising can slow down weight loss for a bit due to changes in the body getting used to it.
I never lost for 8 whole weeks but i continued to work my bum off, and then i had a loss of 7lbs in one week, but the best results is the inch loss and the change in the mirror.........dont rely on the scales hun get ya tape measure out.
you may not lose as fast as you want but you could lose 1 stone with out exercise or lose 7 pounds with excercise and i guarentee your body will be in better condition with a smaller loss with exercise. Keep going the rewards will come i promise x
Thanks so much guys! I have to really remember that, that is the right amount to lose per week. It's so hard when there's diet commercials on tv, Biggest Loser and diet ads online in our faces saying "lose 1 pound a day!" LOL
