Going to start....

  • A new Gym membership tomorrow with my sister.. This is a huge step for me because it's such a big commitment. 3 years to be exact and that's a lot of money for a college student. lol $21 a month, that's like 250 a year.
  • Good for you. Be sure to put that membership to good use.
  • Good luck and go every day
  • I plan on it.. I dont like to waste money, since I don't have a lot of it.. LOL
  • Congratulations! I love to workout... don't know where I would be without my gym time! I hope you love it too and make it a part of your life that you really look forward to.

Look at it as "me" time, and something you GET to do, not HAVE to do. It should be fun!
  • Well started the Gym Membership today...

My back, legs and arms are killing me.. BUT I feel better about myself and this journey I'm taking.
  • Congrats to you!! I feel like buying a gym membership always helps to make sure I get my workout done since I invested money into it. It definitely helps on those days where I don't "feel" like working out, but since I paid for it, I force myself to go & I end up feeling better about it at the end.

    I'm excited for your journey!
  • That's awesome! Have fun with it! I love mine now, didn't think I would but once you get into a habit or going, you miss it when you can't go!
  • I know.. couldn't go the day before yesterday because I forgot to set my alarm clock and I go with my sister.. and yesterday because of my brother (LONG story there ) and I did miss it.. But to make up for it I'm going to go both Saturday and Sunday.. (I usually go every other day.)
  • Sounds like you are doing so great!! Very proud of you
  • Good luck. I hope the monthly gym fee is enough to keep you motivated. LOL!
  • Congrats! I go to gym even though I have an elliptical home, because I like the environment. Sure the monthly fee sucks, but its worth it if it forces you to use the gym and be healthy.
  • Congrats on starting! Now, do you have a plan to continue? It's always one thing to start, but another to keep going. My suggestion is to plan 2 days per week that you will definitely go, without fail, and stick to it. If you can go more, do it, but at least you will have those 2 days.

After you are doing that for a couple weeks, add in another day. We'll get to what you are doing on those days later. Keep posting and keep motivated.
  • I go every other day..

And I will continue to go because that's money I could be spending somewhere else.. I'm a poor college student.. LOL
