I agree with what other posters have said here: your parents are too tired after work to cook dinner, but you probably aren't. Why not help them out and offer to cook? This way you get to spend time with them, enjoy a nice family dinner and eat healthy. If you feel like that's not an option, search for "less tempting" restaurants in your area and suggest you go there to eat. Also, you don't have to join your parents every evening for dinner.

In the end, it's all about how motivated and determined you are. :)

I like the advice given here. How about somewhat of a happy medium- maybe you can cook 3 nights a week and go out the other 2? No reason you HAVE to go out every day :-)

Start buying Shake N Bake seasoning boxes. It will make your life wonderful while dieting. (Just remember to remove the chicken skin before cooking to save a LOT of calories!)
