I was pretty disciplined when I was losing, but still saw daily fluctuations. I'm 61, so I'm WAY WAY past TOM, so I think that had something to do with the fact that I was more evenly paced - no real stalls, but no real whooshes, either. I had a couple weeks of very little loss and one of no loss, but they weren't necessarily followed by a big loss. I really think you younger girls have a different set of problems to deal with in the TOM department. Fluctuations up and down are normal.
I really do believe that if you stayed closely on plan every day and only weighed yourself a few days after TOM left town, you would see a steady downward trend with no gains. Lin |
For the most part, if I stay on track with exercise and food, the scale will stay the same or drop a little (I'm a daily weigher). If I eat dinner later than usual or eat bad things in large quantities, the scale goes up the next morning. I have noticed lots of people on here say that they'll gain a couple pounds or remain the same weight, and then have a couple pound loss randomly. Don't stress it :) although I do pay attention to the scale daily, I really only focus on what the scale says on Thursday mornings (I still have issues on the weekends. Sigh). Good luck! If you're doing what you're supposed to be doing, the scale will eventually give in :)
