I will also definitely buy less junk food from the outset, and get others to bring what they would like to have. It really just makes sense given that everyone seems to want to bring something anyway. Might as well take advantage of their spirit of generosity. :)

Why not gather all the food that doesn't go bad easily (like chips, cookies) and donate it to some shelter? You'd be doing something good and getting rid of temptation.

Throw out whatever food you cannot reasonably eat while staying within your specific plan. It's just food. It was bought & paid for & cooked & left there - again, I say IT'S JUST FOOD. There will be food again. :^:
