I am not having a good day! I think the ol PMS is setting in and I'm just feeling tired, groggy and just plain pissy! :( These days though it is getting difficult to tell whether it's pms or menapause. I'm not sure if I'm having early signs. My mom thinks so, because she went through it early and so did my grandma. Whatever it is I don't like it. I am still eating ok, except today I skipped breakfast altogether. That's a huge no-no with WW. But oh well. And then my DH joined this credit thing online and it took $40.00 out of our bank account and now we are going to be overdrawn because I did not plan for that, and it wasn't supposed to happen. So, I am in a mood over that. He freaks over OD's at the bank so I know he is going to be in a mood. And then it P's me off since I told him that would probably happen. Oh well. we will get through it. I guess I just need to sleep or something. Actually probably need a walk. Maybe!:D
Well gonna go, everyone have a better day than I am. :flow2: |
Good afternoon everyone.
I just had an ad come across my screen while typing this. Does that happen to any of you?? Gee... It would not let me type and then here came the ad. Grrrr I hope this is not going to become a regular occurence. I almost did not post because there is no way I can respond to all of you and I did not want anyone to think I thought one persons problems were more important than another. Then I just decided to not to reply to anyone. LOL As far as how our families treat us. I think Dr Phil has it right there. They treat us the way we allow them to. BUT ... before you go and give them the riot act on how you want to be treated... REMEMBER THIS,,,, YOU need to treat THEM the way you want to be treated too. OUCH. So... I feel it is okay to tell your families that from now on you wish to be treated with more respect and treated as an equal rather than a servant... but do it in a CALM and RATIONAL and respectful manner. That is just my 2 cents. And I do know that not everyone will agree with me and that is okay too. I am not debating... just sharing my opinion. Now for PMS and menopause. Let's face it... they both SUCK. But lets also face.... WE are usually unpleasant to live with during those times and our families are stuck with us. That is when I try to remember the old saying from my childhood.... "If you can't say something nice... don't say nothin at all" BUT I do want everyone to know.... I symphatize with you. It is a terrible place to be... and here is a hug for all sufferers. {{{ HUGS }}} Now for me. I have been soooooooo PRODUCTIVE today. :D :cp: That is why it took me sooo long to get in here. I am not even dressed yet. I woke up and started working in one of my spare bedrooms and I have not stopped to rest alllll day... until now. I got soooo much accomplished. But unfortunately.. I have a long way to go too. I have used this room as a collect all. :^: It was a MESS !!! Well now it is 85% clean. What is left is the small tedious stuff.... lots of the dreaded PAPERWORK. I HATE PAPERWORK. That is one reason it gets so out of control. I procrastinate sooo bad at it. My food is still GREAT !!! I don't feel any skinnier but that is okay. I know I am eating better than ever and other than adding exercise I cannot improve my food. I am even trying new veggie recipes ... and new veggies. I bought artichokes, acorn or spagetti squash, mushrooms, turnips, fresh and frozen spinach, and few weird things I can't remember now. I really wanted to tell you too. I was so proud of me for trying "new stuff". :smug: I am trying that cauliflower as rice tonight with my chinese chicken I am making. Heck... I don't even recognize myself. Okay... got to run. Even though I have worked hard all day... my husband still expects his dinner soon. You are right... a womans work is never done.  |
:yikes: Someone please help! The PMS monster is taking over my body! I need to eat!:ink: I want to eat everything in site. :cbg: :cookie: :jeno: :m: :m: :m: :cheese: :chockiss::burger: I have some leftover M&M's from valentines day that my DH bought me and I want to eat all of them. I hate this. I am right at my points for the day too. I will make it I think, if I can just make it til bed time. Then I can start out new tomorrow.
This is the true test of how badly I want to lose is if I can survive through PMS without eating the fridge. 362/358/under200 Thurs is WI I can't spoil it now.:crossed: Hey does anyone use chat on this site? Or am I using it wrong? I go there and there is never anyone on.?? |
I know I am probably too late Deon... but... HANG ON !!!!!!
Drink a gallon of water. Put on a favorite movie or better yet... go take a walk. Do whatever you have to do to NOT EAT !!!!!! This too shall pass. PS.. I did not mean too late because you already ate. I meant too late because you have already gone to bed. Hopefully.... cheat free!!!! |
:dizzy: so far so good. I am ok for now. Heading to bed soon, but can't seem to get away from puter. But thanks for the encouragement. It means alot to me. I think I can, I think I can.
|
Deon, there is hardly ever anyone in the chat room here on this site, I've gone several times and been the only one there. But, I do go chat on dottys a lot. I will PM you the correct address to go to. It's a great site and the people are great too. Good job staying away from the temptations of pms.
2cute, the ad thing just happened to me too!!!   I think it was an Atkins ad? I hate when I am typing away and then all the sudden I realize everything I have typed is not there. It used to happen to me a lot when I first started coming here, but then it hasn't for so long I completely forgot about it, until rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr you mentioned it and it happend to me today. Did you jinx me:dizzy: ? Yesterdays actions here at home~~~. DH came home like nothing happened. One of my very good friends was here and yes I talked to her about it, and she could not believe he came in so cheery. Then he asked what was for supper I said well I made chili with turkey but know you wont eat that (he hates spicy stuff) so I took out reg. hamburger how do you want it? He asked for manwiches~~~not a problem this is too easy!! Well I proceed to make the manwiches and dh (not dear) falls asleep on the darned couch. So yet another meal cooked for him that will go uneatten or eatten cold. So I waited a while, I put everything away at 8:00p.m and I went to bed. Don't know what time he came to bed but I did notice he had eatten. Don't know if he read the letter I had written yesterday or not but his plate was actually in the kitchen instead of the livingroom, and no cups by his end of the couch. BUT his socks are on the floor!! . I started to go overboard and emotionally eat yesterday. I made woopie pies (if you don't know what they are~~~they are like little chocolate cakes with cream filling in the middle) I had to make them because I had given out IOU's for christmas for them and now people were starting to call in their IOU's. Anyway, I ate 1 & 1/2 of them before I said who am I hurting:?: ? No one but myself and all the hardwork I have done. So I stopped and did not eat anymore. And I counted it my points for the day. So I still came in on top and did not go over the points. And you all know the first thing I did this a.m was hop on the scales!! And I am at 273.5 but tomorrow is the official day and will post it then. Thank you all for your good advice yesterday. I think this is getting to me so bad because dh and I never fight. Sometimes I get so mad people always compare our relationship with their own. They say I wish we had half the relationship you all have. Or you too are so great together. It is true most of our friends are divorced or just not settled and married yet, but I hate being put on display. I'm glad they are happy for us, but please don't add the stress of having to live up to the expectations. We are normal and have issues like everyone else. Oh well, this too shall pass, just thanks for letting me vent and bend your ears here on the thread. Donna, I forgot to ask if you had seen my new avatar? Isn't it fitting for me ;) . Had to get rid of the other one the little woman inside the big one was freaking 2cute out I think? Maybe I should have kept it and she could have called that cute 911 guy again because of the panic attack she was having:lol: (just kidding 2 cute) Well girlies, I'm gonna hit the post button before I loose this very long post I have been working on for 20 minutes now. Hugs and Kisses to all, ~~Sandy~~ |
good morning friends.
Yesterday I was sooo productive that I am taking today off and going to the movies and out for lunch with my daughter. :D Sandy... I can come up with some "need" for that hunky paramedic. But I do appreciate your new avatar. LOL Just remember that even for husbands we need to remember ... "Progress not perfection". They are not going to change overnight. You are NOT going to want to hear this ... BUT... now you need to "Praise him" for his efforts. You planted the seed of needing more help. Now you must remember you will catch more flys with honey than vinegar. Hang in there. Steph ... I like your new avatar too. He is a cutie .... ooppss.. I guess it is a SHE. I will keep your MIL in my prayers... how is she doing today? Walking your kids to and from school is a great way to get your walking in... plus it makes your kids feel special having mom walk with them. Thin.... I was just teasing about the aliens... but now I am beginning to think they took you back to their planet. :^: Did they brain wash you to not post again.?? Deon... how are you doing this morning?? Have you killed anyone yet. When I have PMS I flucuate between suicide and homicide. LOL Hope you are doing better today. Donna... I highly recommend calling the trama unit about your nails if you get the hunk I got. LOL I have only had my nails done once in my entire life... and it was at a beauty college. I guess one word to describe me is.... CHEAP. LOL Okay... there are a LOT of people AWOL. I can't send the troops out to get you since they are all overseas... but ... I am more than willing to come hunt you down and whip your butts all the way back in here. :drill: Have a good day. I am out of here. Headed for the showers |
:cb: Well I made it! I didn't over do it last night. Yea! And I feel so good for it that it has given me new strength to make it through today. I only have today and then tomorrow before WI. I will make it.
Sandy: Thanks for the info. I will go and try it out. And I know what you mean about the eating out of anger. I don't usually emotionally eat except when I am mad at DH, or the kids. My son almost blew it for me yesterday. He keeps wanting to eat all the "diet" food in the house and he is a little stick, like I used to be at his age, but he can eat the regularly stuff, and I said well I will just quit doing WW so you can have the "diet" food. Than I realized what I had done and apologized to him and then to myself. Nothing can make quit. ;) We need to stick together through these hard times, it's when I need you all the most. And you are coming through for me. :D |
Talk about a click of the finger!!! GRRRRRRRRRRrrr.
Just lost it. No time. Back later. |
what the heck!?!
I just did the same thing!!!!!
No time to start again... In a nutshell: Official WI (not Wisconsin) 252...down 2.8 lbs...yay me...total 14 off. Plus I exercised today. Gotta get back to daily sweat. Try Boca Burger "Chicken" patties...:T Sandy: Quote:
Deon...good for you! See? It can be done! 2cute...You give SUCH good advice! I just love reading your posts. PS,,,don't forget the movie review. Thin...how's that airwalker? Donna, welcome back... Moongoddess...welcome to our group! Steph...how's MIL? Keep walking to stay healthy! Duckie...come on, one paragraph is not like you! What's new? Michelle...more stories, please! Mary...What's Bob Evans? Like Denny's? And a special hello to Jen...bless you and your family...I know this has got to be an excruciatingly hard time for you. Come here and vent anytime you need to! I know I speak for all of us when I say, You are in our prayers. Come out, come out: Lucky, Tina, Sara, Baylee...J-ann (if you're lurking!) Hope I didn't miss anyone! Uh oh...I'm late...see ya! |
Well, it looks like MIL will have the heart surgery on Monday. She seems to be doing ok under the circumstances. According to the doctors, this is just in her genetic make-up. She is in no means overweight, and eats very healthy foods. It's a tad colder here today than it has been the past couple of days, but it is still sunny. Like Kat, I have decided to remove my weight from my signature until I get back down to 250. Then I will go from there. No time for repiles, have to get dinner together.

Okay...I'm back!
I took my son to CCD, then I was going to take daughter shopping for the elusive prom dress...(I found a great store yesterday)...but she's taking a little snooze at the moment...she's just SOOOOOOOOO tired.  Just as well, I've been very productive around here. If you follow FlyLady at all, you'll know that Wednesday is "Anti Procrastination Day." Pick one thing that you've been putting off and putting off and JUST DO IT! So...here is what I did: 1. I excercised! :strong: 2. I took all the mystery containers out of the freezer. The ones that have leftover dinners, frozen for "another day..." That day has come. Whatever they don't eat gets tossed! 3. I finished shredding the pile of papers that has been sitting on my desk. (Part of an on-going "Clean out the file cabinet mission.") The current pile has been there for weeks. Not any more. :D 4. I cleaned the junk and papers and odds and ends off my dresser. **Bonus**I came across all the Christmas cards and pictures of you gals! And that's it! Not much really...but the relief of having finished a few of the things that have been bugging me, is enormous! I wholeheartedly recommend this exercise...go do ONE thing that you have been putting off...even just a little thing. It feels good! A good time to do it would be when the munchies strike. And be sure to come back here and tell what you did. That's an order! :drill: ok...break time over...see you all later. |
Kat no stories today as it was my day off....But I did do something like you did....I sorted through all the papers and stuff in the china cabinet that get stuffed there as a keeper for the time being....I was able to throw out alot of useless stuff!
Andrew and I spent a wonderful day together...we went to the supermarket to pick up a few things, then stopped by and visited his old sitter for about an hour...he loved playing with the boys there...then we went to walmart to pick up his pictures and of course did some shopping...$62 later we walked out with two tank tops for him, two pairs of shorts and two short sleeved shirts to match the shorts, a plastic wheel barrow for him...and two wiggles videos for HIM and 10 pria bars for ME!! Oh and a ball cap for him...he likes to wear them backwards...typical boy! Then we stopped at McDonalds and he got a chicken nugget kids meal and I only snatched two fries from him....when we got home I cooked one of my WW frozen meals....we had lunch then we played and read some books then he went out back to play and while I was bent down picking up his crayons he was screaming at the door...I brought him in and checked his head incase he fell on the patio or something and I noticed a spot of blood and it was coming from his finger.....he ripped off the top 1/2 of his fingernail and a scratch on his pinky...I don't know what the heck he did but I took him to the bathroom and put peroxide on it and bacitracin and a bandaid which he immediately took off...and since he was still crying I carried him to the couch and held him till he fell asleep. He needed a nap....he is still sleeping...I just hope it is through the night now...I am ready for bed! Ok... a little while ago I typed in this recipe and like the rest...hit that phantom button and it disappeared...so here goes a second try! WW S'mores 8 (2 1/2 inch square) honey graham crackers 1/4 c. semisweet chocolate chips 8 full size marshmallows Preheat the grill for indirect heating Cut 4- 6 inch pieces of foil and spray with Pam, top each foil with 1 graham cracker and 1 T. of the chocolate chips, then 2 marshmallows. Place another graham cracker on top and fold foil tightly to seal. Grill long enough to melt the marshmallows and chocolate, about 7-8 minutes. 1 s'more = 3 points 151 calories, 4 g fat, 86 mg sodium, 29 g carb, 1 g fiber OK TTFN Michelle |
