My confession
 
I fell off the wagon. Actually I took a flying leap off of it, crash landed in a river, and floated miles downstream. It sucks. I've gained 5 lbs back since February. Not a huge gain but I was doing so well with my loss then my husband got home and it all went to ****. Ugh! I'm so depressed. I need to find my mojo and start losing again. I still have about 50 lbs to go :(

No worries. 5 pounds, shmive pounds. It's a miniscule amount compared to how far you've come. I just started hanging around 3FC and I find the before and afters help me stay fired up, motivated and on plan. But, I'm just starting out(for the 47th time) and I'm maybe not as emotionally winded with it as you are.
The mojo fairy will be alighting on you again soon, I bet! See ~~> :wizard:

Maybe just coast for a little while, trying to just maintain until you get that "fire in your belly" again, as they say. I think motivation comes and goes, so don't be upset because other parts of your life interrupted your focus. Just tread water for a little while and know that you will get it back again.

I think you have done pretty well with only 5 pounds in a few months, when I fall off the wagon I can easily gain 5 pounds in a few days . You just gotta tell yourself no more! You can get back on the wagon, you can do it.!

I've read a lot of accounts of women on here whose husbands are away/overseas and while they do great during the absence, once hubby comes home they stall or gain. I think it's probably the celebratory mood, and not wanting to inconvenience your husband or tell him you cannot indulge in something because you have to keep losing. And youre probably, or should be! happy with and proud of the progress you've made, and you feel like you deserve to take a little time off and celebrate with your husband. I agree with that! Five lbs is no big deal, compared to sharing food and fun times with your hubby. But after a month or so, the unhealthy eating starts to override your good habits and it does feel like you've lost control.
I agree with gardendiva that you should eat like you're maintaining, and let your body get back to a neutral state. Its always harder for me to get back on the wagon when you make a bunch of strict rules for yourself in an effort to whip yourself back into shape. I'm a calorie counter so what I do is just start logging my food and weighing every day. No restrictions or changes, just those two every-day commitments. Once you do that you're bound to become more aware of your eating and weight fluctuations, and feel the desire and ability to get yourself under control. What I do then is reduce my calories every day or two by 100, until I'm in the range I need to be for weight loss. I find that that helps my body to adjust and realize that I'm eating healthily again and not just crashing or yo-yoing. That way my body doesn't feel the need to hold onto fat or freak out and give me a bunch of weird cravings. Ive also found that when my fiancé sees me slowly implementing and sticking with changes, he is more understanding of the fact that I'm really trying to eat heathily. I think guys can be prone to think that we're just being girls and going on crash diets or whatever. But that may not be similar in your case, idk if your husband has an effect on your diet or not. For me though, slow and steady is always best. If I were you I'd just focus on getting those 5 lbs back off, and then go from there. Good luck girl!

Welcome back! I fell off the wagon in February too... just lost 3 of the 5lbs I gained back and still working. Things got hard for me when nursing school started. Back in the wagon- no harm done.

5 pounds mean nothing compared to how much you've lost so far. Don't worry about it, it's sometimes good to fall off the wagon, it reminds is how motivated we are and how determined we are to reach our goals. Don't consider this a setback, but rather a kick forward.
