I really just do basic watching what I eat/exercising. I set my limit to about 1600 and I eat mostly healthy things -- lean meats, nonfat/lowfat dairy products, fruits and vegetables, whole wheat and grains. I still pretty much eat what I want to, though; I just take the "bad" stuff in moderation. I don't drink anything with calories in it, and if I do it's nonfat milk, "diet" juices (like Trop50 OJ), or something like Crystal Light. I've always kind of felt like if I was going to consume calories, I'd much rather eat them than drink them! Another big thing I did was reduce the amount of alcohol I consumed -- I now only have a "wild night" like once a month, instead of having a drink every weekend and THEN having a "wild night".
Exercise -- I do cardio Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Tuesday and Thursday's for weight training, and Sunday's my rest day. Sometimes I might do Sunday as a cardio and Saturday as a rest day -- it depends on what's going on. I do the elliptical and/or treadmill or bike, and I do the machines for weight training because I'm not comfortable doing free weights yet.
So yeah, that's my secret. Nothing fancy, nothing stressful; just a pretty basic weight loss routine.
