In the past, goals have been kinda win some, lose some, for me, as well. But this time is different because my dates have special reason. My long distance boyfriend is coming in July, so I want to look good for him, you know? I think that's what is pushing me. I mainly just want to be in onederland by July, but 180 would be awesome

A lot of people do, I just focus more on day by day goals myself.

Personally, I don't set "goal dates" because it doesn't help me to do so.
But if it helps you, then by all means, set a goal date. Weight loss is a very PERSONAL journey. What works for one may not work for another. That's OK. The only "rules" anyone should ever adhere to is to eat healthily and treat yourself with love & respect! |
I've only set one for myself and it was going back for Thanksgiving last year. I wanted to be in the 130s, even if it was at the top end, and it was totally realistic, so I was pretty sure I could achieve it. I did achieve it, but even if I hadn't I would have been very close and looked so much better then when I started. :)
I haven't set any since then, as I'm closing in on my goal, and I know that my losses will likely creep along for a good few months and I'm fine with that. :) |
