It took me a while to lose anything, in fact, I gained 3 pounds before I lost any.

I agree, it never hurts to talk to a doctor, especially if it puts your mind at ease.

Hang in there and keep making good choices, it will happen!

that is the way my body works too. Everyone here thinks I lose so much so fast, but they don't tend to nice the 3 weeks of nothing, just the week of WHOOSH!

I gain at TToM and then I might lose that weight, but not more, then I gain for ovulation even more than I did for TTOM and then about 4 days after ovulation I have 7-10 days of big, big drops. Basically, all my weight loss for the month. Of course, I'm losing fat the entire time, just the water weight masks what's happening on the inside.

I could have written your post 10 weeks ago! I really didn't start losing right away and was very frustrated. I stuck with it, and now 13 weeks in, I am down 16lbs and 1/2 way to my goal. All in all, I've averaged 1.2 lbs a week. Good luck on your journey! This board has been a wealth of knowledge & support!!:hug::hug:

Eagle River :). Here's to hoping, since it has already dumped on us so much this year, that we can break this snowfall record!

I'm SO glad I read this thread! I was having such a bad morning because I've been at or under calories for two weeks (which is a pretty big deal for me), I've been walking long distances every day, and this is while work is unbelievably and relentlessly busy, so I'm not sure I could put in more effort than I already have.

I was excited to step on the scale this morning but I didn't lose a single ounce. I have a whole lot to lose...shouldn't it be easier than this? I'm pretty deflated and discouraged, but the posts here made me feel a little bit better.

Berryblondeboys, that's very interesting about the way your weight loss cycles. I think I'll pay more attention this month!

Thanks everyone for the support! I really hope I go to the doctor and he just tells me its because its TToM. This is my first cycle since I started trying to lose weight. Man do I hope that's all it is.
