I stick with my diet, but I also watch videos of Victorias Secret models and how they workout for the show. I am not built like them and I don't expect to look more like them, but I still try to incorporate some of their moves. Sometimes I look at fit ladies outside, and think "gotta step up my game" lol.

This time I decided that I'm not going to deprive myself. So I give a little wiggle room in my calories so at the end of the day if I want 1 serving of something special, like ice cream, or a glass of wine, I can have it. And guess what!? I usually forget about it, or just decide it doesn't sound good to me today. It's totally a mental thing, but ever since I've given myself permission, I find the need and want to binge, or have really high calorie foods has gotten much less intense. In times past it would be all I could think about because I wasn't "allowed" to have it, or I only "allowed" that kind of thing once a week. The second I got past forbidding things from myself is the same second the desire for them no longer consumed me.
So simple and yet it's take me over a decade to figure it out! |
If I am having a sugar craving, I brush my teeth. Makes all sugary stuff taste like crap.
Also, if I am in a binge mood, I will often take a shower. For whatever reason, it does sometimes work and the cravings will be gone. If I am hungry or in a binge mood later in the evening, I'll just go to bed. I've been known to go to bed at 8:00, lol. |

Having an indoor dog. She came into my life a couple of months ago after being abused, neglected and ultimately abandoned, and I took her in and nursed her back to health. The good thing about having her around is that she needs to be walked daily. And if I don't do it I feel impossibly guilty. It's been just the push I needed to get me out the door to exercise every day. :)

I chew gum, I brush my teeth, I drink a bunch of water, I have a shower, I polish my nails. If I'm still hungry after that, I go to bed!
I really like the idea of going pee, that's an awesome distraction! I'm adding that to my list. lol |
