I am curious..............TOM
Hello everyone,
So I know everyone experiences bloating, cravings and other stuff very differently so I was wondering......if you PMS, how soon do you find yourselves bloated or craving different food before TOM actually begins :devil:? |
I seem to differ from most people in that I've never had PMS or TOM-related bloating or cravings, even though I'm anatomically and hormonally normal. I'm now 55 and I still have periods, though they're somewhat less regular, and have no symptoms of perimenopause.

Approximately 7 days before. Really up to the extreme 3 days before. That's how I know it's coming. Red meat seems to be the craving. I cannot get enough of hot dogs during this time. I feel ravenous. Then the period starts and my appetite is non-existent, LOL.

About 10 days before it actually starts, so I guess I start experiencing mine around the time I ovulate????? My scale rises about a pound a day for the first few days, and then I start getting food cravings which last until I start TOM(and don't feel hungry at all)...about 4-5 days before, I start peeing alot, and then the day before, no symptoms...everything disappears...Then bam...

for me, i start eating more and craving food about a week before. then, when i get it..i lose all that appetite and craving.

Ever since I got my iud my cravings gave gotten a lot worse flat out. But usually about 5 days I start to bloat and crave things, chocolate my all time weakness. I have noticed since I got my iud its hard for me to lose weight and easy to gain!

hmmmm so bottom line, a lot of us can relate cause all of us experience pms/tom differently yet very similarly :)

Definitely red meat for me too. And I feel exhausted, like I could sleep for days. Makes me not want to exercise which sucks. I got on my treadmill everyday through a bout of bronchitis, but I get my period and I haven't gone near the thing for two days. I don't get it.

YES.
I bloat slowly over time, slowly making me nuts. I also get cranky and craving things. When the "whoosh!" hits and I lose the bloat weight really fast I am relieved because I know I'll have period within 24 hrs and I will feel a LOT better. A. |

Usually about 3 days before I start I get REALLY emotional and bloated, like unable to get comfortable enough to sleep bloated, and I start getting a few cramps.. and then my cravings start and all I want to eat are cheeseburgers, fries, and pizza. My cravings aren't SUPER bad until the day before and, like clockwork, a few hours after my intense cravings start I get really painful cramps. I wish my appetite went away when my TOM started, instead I'm like a bottomless pit.

I don't get many mood changes or cramps leading up to it, but I do get water retention (2-3 pounds). Usually starts the week before, and it takes maybe day 3 of my cycle for it to clear out.
