I go to the bathroom a lot. Don't know what else to tell ya, other than avoid the caffeine which makes it worse.

I only drink when I'm thirsty. My problem is that I'm ALWAYS thirsty. But you really only need to drink when you're thirsty.

I know, I know, garden hose water isn't the most tasty, ...but when you spend 3 hours push mowing the back 10, (for excercise) it tastes pretty darn delicious! It also helps to water a few plants (to clean out any critters that might have crawled in), before you take your first gulp!

I used to drink from the hose all the time when I was a kid... really, on a hot day it can be quite refreshing!

You've noticed that too, eh? The dehydrating properties of caffeine are greatly exaggerated!

To the original poster, may I HIGHLY recommend drinking to your thirst and not a drop more? Our bodies are marvelous creations and water needs are dealt with without any need for intervention from experts and their recommendations. Other than verifying when you feel hunger that it isn't thirst you're misidentifying (happens surprisingly often to those of us with screwy hunger cues) just drink calorie-free (effectively, in the case of coffee, where the calories are negligible) fluids like water, coffee, or tea, until your thirst abates and voila, you'll be set

I only drink water when I am thirsty or to fill me up so that its easier not to overeat in a restaurant.
Google snopes 8 glasses water a day
from a CBS article -

"If you're thirsty, drink," said Dr. Stanley Goldfarb. "If you're not thirsty, you needn't drink."

I just follow my intuition, if I want to drink I drink water. No need to torture yourself. Plus even if it flushes out my toxins, it might flush out my nutrients I've been eating too! (OK I don't have a link for that, thats just my personal suspicion)
