and sometimes they are scale victories (SV)
Today I had a Gyn appt. It is WAY overdue, but at least I got it done.
I had to do all the usual - fill out forms, pee in a cup, have blood pressure taken and be weighed. I stepped on the scale fully clothed and with shoes on. I weighed 177. That is the lightest I have weighed on a scale in a doctor's office since before my college admission's physical in 1988. Then, fully clothed (not sure if I had shoes on or not), I weighed 179. That was close to 24 years ago! I remember feeling so fat at that weight. Now, being 177 feels victorious. I'm not done with this journey, but even if I maintained this weight forever and ever, I'm so much better off than where I have been. |
That's great!! Congrats!!!
