Well I have what we call a "badonkadonk" butt. I hate how jeans really never fit me right! It ends up where I usually have to buy a size up to fit my butt and thighs into the jeans! However, I noticed that there's a 5-10 lb difference between my 12 jeans and size 9-10s. I now can fit into SOME of the 9-10s..very tight, but again it's the butt/thigh thing.
I just have to come to terms with me being a different shape than many girls my hight and weight! |
I am currently a 16. When I started at 218 lbs, I was a 16. I will not be able to fit into a 14 until I hit 190 lbs. So, for me that's 28 lbs. I'm 5'9" tall.

Oh, I forgot to add. When I was 195 lbs a few years ago, I was pushing 16 into almost size 18..one of those breaking points to lose weight. So it just depends on you and your body shape! Again I have a huge A$$! LOL

When I was 207 I was wearing tight 15s, loose 17s, and tight 16s. I am 175 and wear tight 13s, loose 15s, comfy 12s, and loose 14s. I CAN wear my 16s but they don't look the best.

For me, up until this year, I had been wearing a size 18-20 since I was thirteen (I'm almost 22 now), and at my highest weight (Somewhere between 270 and 280) when I was around 19-20, I was a very tight 20 and probably should have been wearing a 22. Last year, when I was about 250lbs, I was a solid size 20, and when I got down to 240, I started fitting into 18s and my 20s were getting extremely loose. Now I'm at 230, and am pretty much a solid 18. So I guess it'll be 220-215 before I get into my size 16s?

It took took me a good 30 lbs before I first went down a size and it was something of a sore spot for me because it seems that at my height and weight everyone else in the entire world is always in smaller sizes. I'm hoping that my new focus on strength training helps with that.
18 to 16 - 30 lbs (230-200) 16 to 14 - 20 (200-180) 14 to 12 - 15ish (180-165) |
In the 170s I was a tight 14, the 160s a loose 14 or tight 12. I stayed a 12 throughout most of the 150s. At about 151-152 I could pull the 12s down without even unbuttoning so I went to the 10s. My 10s have been becoming way too loose lately but I'm not quite an 8 (they button and zip but are not ready for public yet lol). So I guess it took 10 lbs per size from sizes 14-12 and now I feel like it's a little less than 10 lbs.

At 192 I was wearing a size 14 jeans, but I really should have been in a size 16. (the 14's were REALLY tight... TOO tight!)
Now at 155 (37 lb down) I'm in a size 12 which is a little loose, but a size 10 is too tight. Another 10 pounds should have me fitting just right in my favorite still-in-a-drawer size 10 jeans. :D |
I started off in a size 16 at 240lbs and didn't get into a size 14 until I was about 215lbs. So that's 25lbs loss. But then between 215lbs and 190lbs (that's another 25lbs loss) I went from a size 14 to a size 10 that's where I am now. Went down 2 sizes every 10lbs or so) I read somewhere that on average every 10lbs is a size but I think that applies when you get lower down. When I was 265 I was in a size 18 but it took another 25lbs loss to get into a size 16lbs. Now I'm finding it's every 10lbs where before when I was heavier it was every 20lbs.

If you exercise, then it is altogether different story. From Dec 1 st to Feb 20 th
I lost 2 lbs and came down from size 14 to size 12. Weight lifting, lunges etc do a difference. |
I was a size 16 at 205, a size 14 at 195, a size 12 at 180, and almost a size 10 at 175...

I don't remember all the details, but when I started at 193, I was a 16, and more comfortably an 18 (because I hated to have things fit tight!). I was so excited when I finally hit size 10, prob around 150ish. I didn't really imagine getting smaller. Now I'm not really sure, as I pretty much only wear Jr. jeans, whose sizing runs different. My one women's jeans, a size 8, are really too loose, but my 2 pairs of size 6 womens pants are a tiny bit snug. I fit nicely into a jr's size 9. As long as they have some spandex in them! Now I'm OK to wear tight jeans, because I don't feel as much like a sausage being stuffed into them! :)

Initially about 20-25lbs. Now it's a lot quicker. Actually, with weight lifting there's some times when I've dropped a pant size without losing any weight. ;)
