Is there a way on 3fc to search for people in your area??? I can't find anything like that. I think it would be handy to have for some local support.

I don't think there's a way.

Have you checked out meetup.com? It's a great way to find groups in your area, whether it's a weight loss group or some kind of fitness group. I'm planning on meeting with a running group tomorrow that I found through meetup.
