Default So is it just me....or does certain places you used to LOVE to eat..now STINK!

I went home for lunch, but ended up falling asleep (was up at two with a power outage, stupid rain!) so I decided to go by wendys and get something to eat. Decided on the baked potato and the grilled chicken sandwich and WHOO WEEE! when I got that bag I thought I was gonna have to HURL it out the window; it did NOT smell that good AT ALL! Needless to say, I didn't eat very much of it....

I don't really have a problem with smell as much as taste. It's funny because I'll be craving something like crazy, decide to work it into my plan one day, and then when I get it it doesn't taste nearly as good as I'm expecting. =) I guess eating whole foods most of the time now has really effected my taste buds.

A rich tasty meal at an upscale restaurant is a whole different story though. That is definitely worth the money and the calories.

I get it, I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE Mcdonalds double cheese burgers. I would routinely eat 2 and fries late at night when the cravings hit However now, I can't even bring myself to go into mcdonalds. I just cant handle the smell of the place, makes my stomach turn. Same thing happens when I eat candy, its way to sweet and actually hurts my teeth!

nope... a walk pass McDs and the smell could get my mouthwatering for some fries. There's a Subway now in the Walmart and they must make something that smells like pizza because I always think "oh that smells good". BUT actually seeing the food sometimes is enough to turn me off from it... you know, sometimes it just doesn't look good or fresh,...and looks greasy and stuff.

i'm sorry but no, this has never happened to me, but for me, my plan says that i will eat normal food still, just in different portions and maybe less frequently.

Haha! I guess my love for food has changed! Which, not complaing I guess. I still eat what I want calorie counting, but....I have practically quit eating any real chain fast food resturants. I cook at home now ALOT! Guess I get to be the weird one

I don't hate anything I ate before. I just have no desire to eat certain things anymore.

Ice cream for one. I loved the stuff; still do. I just have no desire to eat it anymore!

I haven't eaten fast food in 4.5 years and don't miss it at all, but I still think Mcdonalds smells good.

My boyfriend keeps taking me to McDonalds. We never used to even go, I just think that lately his mood has been dipping because of the changing seasons. I used to get the 20 piece chicken nuggets and scarf 'em with a range of sauces. Now walking in makes me feel uncomfortable and kind of sad. It's not that I don't love faked chicken, I just can't enjoy eating it so much now.

I decided to cave and eat Lucky Charms last month. I figure a bowl of cereal won't ruin my life. I ate it, but it wasn't as satisfying as I hoped. The marshmallows were too sweet and the rest was like flavorless cardboard. I still want Lucky Charms, but I think they taste better in my memory than they do in real life. They were something I looked forward when I was growing up because we usually got the off-brand cereals.

I haven't had a whole restaurant go bad on me yet. That sounds nifty. I don't like burgers much anymore, so burger joints aren't worth going off plan. I still enjoy pizza, but now that I know how to make a decent pizza (with a whole wheat crust!), it took the edge off my craving. We haven't ordered a pizza since the Superbowl.

Chinese food isn't as good as I remember. I know how to make a good stir fry, and I made sweet & sour chicken on a splurge. Mine was almost as good as a restaurant we went to. The Chinese buffet wasn't worth the extra calories and the refined carbs.

I think it's because my family got used to eating better quality food even though we're on what most people would say is a diet. The whole foods and homemade goodness are better than what I could get for $5 at any fast food restaurant.

I've gotten really picky about restaurant food and no longer find joy in places like Outback Steakhouse, Ruby Tuesday, etc. And somewhere in there I lost my taste for french fries, fried appetizer type foods and all that.

The sweet tooth will never die I'm afraid.

This is exactly how my husband and I feel about Hooters! We used to love their wings, fries, and fried pickles and the last time we went as a treat to ourselves...mind you we hadn't been in months and months....we both looked at each other and go, "I remember this being better!" Everything just tasted like oil!! Just grease ugh. I was like, I bet I'm the only weirdo in here who wishes they had grilled vegetables right now instead!
