WoW! NSV
My fingers are shrinking!!!
My Wedding band and engagement ring are too big now. ;) I think I may have developed an allergy to them too, though. :?: I have a red rash where my ring sits. |
that is so awesome! I wonder if you are getting a rash from it bouncing around on your finger. If you can get some green floral tape and wrap it, it will help. That way, you don't have to have it sized yet again when you get to goal. You can also buy some temporary sizer things on ebay.
Even if you just let it bounce around, that's okay too! :) Doesn't it make you feel great? |
You might have an allergy to nickel, if it's a red rash. Do your rings have nickel in them? Depending if they are gold (pink gold) and the amount of K in the gold, nickel might have been used.
|
They are 14K gold. I have a 10K gold ring on my other hand that doesnt cause any issues... :?:
|
Sorry to hear about the rash...but the NSV is awesome!!! Way to go!!!!
|
AWESOME! Way to go!

What type of gold? White gold contains an insane amount of nickel and I can no longer wear my wedding ring. :( |
You just need to stop wearing your rings for a few days and put some neosporin on the red area. It's a bacterial infection. Several of my friends have had it recently. It will go away.

Yellow gold.

Ok...I have to ask
I see tons of acronyms and I don't know what any of them mean.
What is NSV? Anyone know what DH is? If you want to give me some more to look for that would be most awesome too. LOL thanks...Lorna P.S. Congrats on the weight loss. Keep at it! |

Go Girl! Sometimes I get soapy water trapped under my ring from washing dishes (or just washing hands) and it causes a little irritation. Taking it off and dosing it up with antibiotic lotion usually does the trick. Maybe now that it's loose, there's room for stuff to get trapped under it!
|
Congrats!!! I'm right there with you!!! My engagement ring is actually fitting again!!!
|
:congrat:
At this point even with a ring snuggie mine are too big. What I have decided to do for now is go get some cheap ring so I don't look single and put the real ones away until I'm at goal and can get them sized. Maybe that would work for some of you other ladies as well. |
They may just need cleaned. You can soak them in some hot/boiling water and/or get them professionally cleaned.
|
WooHooo!!! That's awesome! My rings are starting to get a wee big on me as well - thinking that come winter I might have to get a spacer to keep them from falling off.
I'd also second (or third) the idea of leaving the rings off for a day or two to give your finger a chance to breathe and heal. |
Yay - good for you! :) That's awesome!!!
I'm looking forward to making a bit more progress there myself, at my highest my wedding ring was tight enough that I took it off sometimes (like first thing in the morning when I tend to have fat fingers for some reason). I'm taking it off less already - looking forward to it being loose too! :) |
Mine are too big as well :-( They sometimes fly off during my workout. It was exciting at first, but now IDK I feel a little sad. lol. I know they can be resized, but what's the point if I'm still losing weight.
|
Awesome! My rings are also getting lose. One is too lose to wear on it's own but i wear a slightly smaller ring (that is now getting too lose too) to keep it on. These are my family rings and I will have them re sized when I get to my goal weight.
My wedding ring is also getting lose but I want to renew our vows on our 15th anniversary (in 3 years) and want a new platinum wedding ring so I may re size the one i have or may just get a silver ring to replace it when it is too big to wear. |
