I think that is so neat about the birthdays. Like you said before Angie it is a shame that you can't spend them with eash other. It is propbably good because I wouldn't want you guys to see me eat all of that cake.

I am still at work right now. I have to stay until around 7:45. The boss is doing a tv show and everyone else is sick. So, I got volunterred.

Kempy, You wouldn't want to be here this week! BBBRRRRR!!!! Brittany's class goes to the mountain every Thursday to go skiing but tomorrow they cancelled it because the windchill is going to be 40 below zero up there. YIKES! Even Jay said tonight that he is about ready for spring.

Hey Angie, the temp here on the coast is 10 right now it says. But you gotta put the wind chill factor in and its down right nippely!!!!! And the price of oil is so high right now, but what are you gonna do, you gotta keep warm, but we do have a wood stove too.

Glad to hear they cancelled the ski trip. At my kids school they do not have outside recess unless the temp is about 25.

okay, this is what I have been doing this week. You all know how addicted I am to my Blue Bunny ff frozen yogurt but I needed to get rid of my bloat from my binge on Saturday so I have been doing 1 hour and 15 minutes of exercise every day. The extra 15 minutes on the elliptical burns 180 calories so I figure this way I could have my yogurt in the evenings and still(hopefully) lose weight. Well I guess it is working because I stepped on the scales this morning and it said 159!!! YEAH, I am out of the 160's. That is down 3 pounds since before I messed up on Saturday. I am so psyched because that is so much closer to wearing my size 10 jeans!

WAY TO GO ANGIE

Getting into a smaller size is great. I will be so happy when I hit a size in the teens. I have been in the 20's for so long. I remember even in high school I was an 18, and I would die for that right now. My first goal is a 16, I dont think Ive been that since maybe freshman year? And I mean I'm way older now....33
But one day at a time I keep telling myself. I will get there one day, just like the little choo choo, or was it a boat? I think I can, I think I can....but I am I know I can, I know I can....

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

Girl you go! Angie you are doing so good. You and Chris are an inpiration to me and I am sure to us all. I think if I could get me butt back in here to workout I would be losing more. I really need to start to plan for San Diego. I got a coupon from Lerner's for $15 off when you spend $30 and I would really like to buy new shorts so I want my legs to get toned up better.

I have one more pound to go to be where I was before I got sick. I hate being sick b/c I am not like normal people I eat more. Werid.

My day is going pretty slow here but I am going to sneak away to the store in a minute to go buy new pots for my plants. I already have the repotting bug. I want to change all of my inside plants into nicer pots. Boy do I have my work cut out for me.

Sandy you are in a really cold spot to. These are the days when I love being down here. Ask me how I feel in August. It will be so hot here.

Hope all of you other wonderful gals are doing good today.

Default Welcome Sandy !

Glad you're not lurking anymore. Feel free to just jump in with whatever's on your mind.

Re: Ice Cream: We have a Marble Slab here, too. I figure I'm better off not going in there at all.
I don't have a really bad sweet tooth, but I love Godiva's "Belgian Dark Chocolate" ice cream. It should be illegal.
My second favorite ice cream would be Haagen Daz - Coffee.

Anyone here heard of Blue Bell ice cream?
It's made here in central TX.

Their ads on tv for a long time said "We eat all we can and sell the rest."
Excellent ice cream.
I like "Natural Vanilla Bean" (has the powdery black stuff from inside vanilla beans in it. )
"Chocolate Decadence" is wonderful, but you can't always find it.
If you like peaches, "Old Fashioned Vanilla with Peaches" is too good.

Any William Petersen fans here?
Tonight's CSI is 90 minutes !
CBS at 8:30pm central time.

I really don't like blue bell to much. I prefer Ben and Jerry's. I know I am not being a very good southern girl.

I am so ready for my desert tomorrow night. Is that bad?

Angie you are awesome--I'm doing my best but I can't keep up with you (pant, pant, pant) Your energy is something else. I've got a couple of months in age on you though . You'll be into those tens in no time.

Gargoyle, where do I get Godiva Belgian dark? You always have such yummy sounding food suggestions. Stop reminding me of what I'm depriving myself of! Just kidding! I think we have Blue Bell ice cream in our Safeways...but we don't have a Safeway that nearby. I like Blue Bunny full fat Bunny Tracks ice cream (Angie, don't read this part). Vanilla Ice Cream with Thick Fudge and Peanut Butter Caramel Ribbons, Chocolate covered Peanuts and Peanut Butter filled Chocolate Bunnies...

Peekaboo, yes you're definitely a loud chick--screaming congratulations and in bold red print too You fit right in! Thanks for making me think about size and high school. I think I weigh now what I weighed when I graduated 14 (?!!) years ago, but I'm in a little different proportion now. Narrower on top but wider on bottom. But it's all good.

Kempy are all those new years resolution people slacking off from your gym already? I heard on the news a couple of days ago that 50% of people who made resolutions to lose weight/exercise this year have already broken their resolve...so here's some pats on the backs to us ladies who are still here and chugging away. Oh yeah, Peekaboo, it was the train, The Little Engine That Could...I think I can, I think I can...

I stopped by my old workplace this morning to drop off more candle orders and I got the "Hey, you look really great, have you lost weight?" comments from everyone--the first one to come out and admit it was a big burly warehouseman--I think he used to oogle me anyway when I worked there so I don't know how sincere that was...but the ladies and even my boss acknowledged it so I'm riding that high right now. Of course my boss likes to think that we're (hubby and I) starving and can't afford to buy food since I left his company...if only he knew. Ha!

Chris, Washu, anyone else I might have missed, hope you gals are having a wonderful day.

Talking THANKS!!! YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!

I saw that ice cream Noelle. We have the same thing up here called Iditarod. It has the peanut butter and the peanut butter cups, etc. It is to die for. I am a peanut butter and chocolate FREAK!! I saw the Blue Bunny one this weekend and I almost grabbed it but I figured the fat free is so good I shouldn't tempt myself. haha.(I say that as I put 2 things of Valentines cookies in my cart)

Has anyone tried the peanut butter and hot fudge at TCBY? I have them make me a parfait and put hot fudge and P.B. in each layer. Geesh, I wonder how I gained all of my weight back.

I really want to have Chinese and a cake for Valentines but I signed up for Kicking Horse' challenge and I should really see how much weight I can get of until Monday. BUT....it was so good Saturday.

Angie I forgot to mention that earlier this morning I had an English Staffordshire bull terrier sitting on my couch. One of our sublease tenants came in to wait for a delivery and he had his dog with him. His coat was black and shiny and he looked so rascally too. He was only 5 1/2 months old. The owner said he only weighed 21 lbs so he had some more growing to do, but he wouldn't get much bigger. The American version is much larger. This dog was so sweet though, so calm and good natured. He also farted in my office so I had to light my big 3-wick candle and turn the air on . They waited outside after that.

Oh yeah Kempy, I am exactly the same way when I am sick. I think subconsciously I figure I will feel better if I eat the right thing. But I never seem to get the right thing. I eat everything in sight and half of the time I can't even taste it. strange

Hey gals. It sounds like everyone is cruisin' along.

Right on Angie!! I have had a horrible time exercising this week. Everyday I tell myself that I will.... then things happen, I get lazy and don't. You are my inpiration, and today I WILL go downstairs and exercise!!!!

Welcome Peekaboo! Glad to have another Sag. here. My b-day is 11/24, not far from ya'll.

How weird.... I haven't read this thread for a day-or-so, but I got a horrible sweet tooth and bought Ben and Jerry's yesterday! Low-fat Cherry Garcia Fro-Yo. It's wonderful!!!!!! Though it is officially my splurge for the month. I've been to a Marble Slab once, at the Excalibur in Vegas. OMG!!

We don't do anything for Valentines either. Mat hates the idea that society declares that you must be romantic on one specific day. It took me awhile to get used to, but with all of the little sweet things that he does every other day of the year, V-day ain't that important... If we can get rid of the roommate we will have a fun night

All right.... time to fill my water bottle and go lift some weights!!!

laters
