Default Belly fat

Does anyone else feel like the weight is coming off EVERYWHERE except the waist?

It's my curse to look like a tree trunk with little arms and legs, it seems. It's like my back fat is almost all gone, my legs are getting toned, everything is great, but I lost maybe an inch off my waist, if that.

"no, no, take the boobs away as soon as possible, diet and exercise! I don't need those. Please make sure you keep that lovely fat sack underneath them though, please!"

Unfortunately, it happens that way for some of us. My lower belly fat is taking FOREVER to go. It's super stubborn. The worst is that if you're losing everywhere else than your belly fat becomes more noticeable (or I feel that way at times, at least). The good news, though, is if you stick with it, it will eventually go.

When I first noticed the weight coming off, it was the belly, then legs and the weight is still coming off.

We must be twins.

My arms are so skinny now....and I have no, repeat NO, boobs anymore. All of my weight loss has been from the top down and the bottom up. Apparently it hasn't met in the middle yet. When I took my measurements, I lose 4-5 inches everywhere...and drumroll, please....1/2 inch in my waist.

UGH!!!!!

Ugh I agree completely. I'm not sure if 14 pounds can just come off your face but I'm pretty sure that's where it came off at. I think my double chin is the ONLY thing that i've lost. My stomach is huge, my thighs are huge, I don't mind my boobs being huge. I would love for them to stay this size and everything else shrink lol

Definitely! My belly fat is the last to go. However, I do not help it out at all. I HATE doing ab work. I can walk for two hours, but I can't bring myself to simply do even five minutes of ab work a day----and it shows.

I think lots of cardio is the way to go. I don't know. My stomach is the number one place I want to lose (seriously, if I had a 26 inch waist, I would be happy with the rest of my body as is now) and that doesn't seem to be the case. Actually, my stomach looks worse now that I've lost weight...I think I had a layer of cellulite (or maybe my fat is just disappearing in patches!?) on it that is now more pronounced. I never had that much weight to lose, nothing that would cause loose skin etc...but still. Gaaaaaaah.

um, ditto. I look really funny. My back has slimmed down a lot, but my boobs and back of my chest--fatty...my legs are toned, but my abdomen, blah. And I'm starting to look very disproportionate from the side! I keep telling myself that I just had a baby, but really I had to work hard at my tummy before I got pregnant too.

The grass is always greener. My wife carries her fat in her legs and arms. So her back and stomach are super lean but she hates her legs and arms.

Very few are fortunate enough to have their fat evenly distributed.

For most of the summer I had to wear shorts/pants that had gotten too big for my hips/thighs but just fit at the waist. My waist seems to be catching up now. I have a feeling my waist will always seem bigger than I would prefer.

JohnP has a great point!

I just ruined my day analyzing myself in the mirror, taking photos (I do that every week) and I also seem to look worse than before.. Like all of you here I'm also losing fat from places I really don't want to and the difference in proportions of my butt and shoulders is even more obvious then before.. I also look very weird in clothes.. Looks like the part that we hate the most goes away last.. I guess that means we have to keep going.. I could just take some scissors and cut it all off I am so pissed off right now!!!

My waist and belly are my problem areas, too. But since cutting out wheat products about a month ago, my tummy is noticably flatter.

There is a book on amazon.com called "Wheat Belly" that has great reviews if any of you want to check it out: http://www.amazon.com/Wheat-Belly-Lo...6707205&sr=8-1
