My challenge to myself (and others who want to try)

  • So this year is my senior year... I'm the biggest and heaviest I have ever been so this school year here is my challenge to myself. Loose 40lbs. Graduation is exactly in ten months and tomorrow is the start of the month. So all I have to do is drop at least 4 pounds or more each month. Hopefully I can do it.
I'd love to here your guy's goals and advice, also.

    Thanks so much

    !
  • That's a great goal! The best of luck to you, I hope by the end of the year you'll come back to this post to say you did it!

I've been at it for 2 years this month, I started in my senior year too! I still have those last 10 lbs to go and I'm hoping to get them of by my birthday (dec 5th) Obviously I've spend a lot of time off the diet wagon, but I havent had any big gains either, and as long as I don't gain weight, it's all good for me.

So my advice, even if you've got a few days/weeks when you feel you just can't do it, don't fret, just get back on track when you can, it's all about the long run!

best of luck to you. i really hope you succeed.
  • great goal - enough to keep you challenged but not too much to realistically achieve in that time period.

    Good luck!!
  • Great goal Kristen! I wish you much success. YOU CAN DO IT
  • Great goal! You can do it!

My advice is to prepare for the stress of exams (especially final exams) ahead of time by stocking your fridge with low cal treats and healthy foods at least a week in advance. My biggest downfall is always around test time. I want to stuff my face with the least healthy foods I can find, usually fast food or pizza because they're more convenient than going to the grocery store. Over the summer, I prepared for that by stocking my fridge with healthy foods. I still ate bigger portions, but because they were low calorie foods, I was able to stay on plan.

My goal is to reach my goal weight - 150 - by November 4. Like you, I'm a senior. I graduate in December, so I want to start this next chapter of my life - the non-academic chapter - at a weight I feel good about.
  • Great goal and it's TOTALLY do-able!!!! Good for you!!! I am aiming for 50lbs in 10 months - actually - 50lbs as soon as I possible can lose it.

I'll totally be in the challenge with you!
  • I am with you on this. 1 pound per week, we can do that!
  • i lost 40 lbs in four months -- your goal is definitely obtainable!! good luck, girly!
