Breakfast doesn't have to be breakfast food. During the week, I usually eat a turkey sandwich with veggies on a good whole grain bread, with a swish of the new olive oil mayo. I have to eat breakfast. I have a very physically active job and I need the energy.

On the weekend, I may or may not eat breakfast, depends on what's going on. Or we may eat a large, late breakfast, but skip lunch and not eat again until evening.

Some other good ideas for a quick high protein breakfast, some ff refries on a low carb tortilla with a little cheese and salsa. Tuna sandwich with lots of chopped veggies. A boiled egg, cheese stick and some lean ham lunchmeat.

There is no law that says breakfast has to be oatmeal, yogurt and berries.

Do what works for your body.

i don't eat breakfast. ever. i've lost 90 lbs.

breakfast isn't important and there are many articles explaining why.

bottom line: eat when you're hungry.

Thank you all!! I really appreciate your feedback. Here's what I FINALLY got from this... One size does not fit all. If I feel bad about eating breakfast (not emotionally, but I feel physically bad) it is OK not to eat in the morning (or at least I hope so) I did a search on IF. This is the way when I am not thinking about anything my body feels most comfortable eating. I am going to give myself permission not to eat in the morning. We'll see. This is the first time I took measurements along with the scale, so we'll see how it goes.

Yes to everything you wrote. Ultimately, you need to find a diet that works well for YOU, one you can stick to no matter what. The nice thing about dieting is that it's a lifestyle change so even if something doesn't work now you can tweak and tweak and tweak throughout your journey until you find what works for your body. So try skipping breakfast for now and if it works, great! If not you just keep trying something else. ;)

Oh, and I'm thrilled to hear you're taking measurements, I really wish I could get everyone to do that because I think it helps both with seeing progress and getting a better idea of what your body shape is. Good luck!
