wow that's some awesome birthday wishes up there!!

i am pretty sure i'm ending my day at 1235 calories and 52 carbs....i would like to eat something else but it requires going to the store and i'm rather lazy now and tired

i have done ALOT(!) of cleaning today and i feel like my house is approaching spotless! well, at least, the main areas are...not that it's ever too messy to begin with but still...it accumulates with kids all over all day long...

tried to call my little sister back tonight but she left her phone at home and went to visit someone...unfortunately her bf answered the phone...on a good sober day, he is still rude and obnoxious, his entire extent of every conversation with me is "when are you sending me nudie pics"...every.single.time...it's worse when he's drunk...sister and i have told him time and again to knock it off, that it's rude, obnoxious and disrespectful...so i called tonight and he answered and was so drunk he was slurring his words and i could barely understand him...he kept calling me a coward for not sending him nudie pics...he finally stopped talking long enough for me say "have my sister call me, bye" and i hung up on him...ugh! i feel slimy just by association...on the other hand, he sure wouldnt want a visit from his probation officer tonight...not that i would call them...hehe

Larry: congrats on the 2 pounds! And thank you for the suggestion about Stevia. i've had some in the house for a long while but never used it. I will try it in the next recipe that calls for Splenda.

alaskan: ugh about your sis's bf, i have in laws like that, not quite that bad but i feel for you

mamakat: wouldn't it be great if we could store some of the excess energy for those down days? i keep thinking that mid winter I'm going to need some of this current energy burst hehe. oh well, guess we just have to make the most of it while we've got it. I really love hearing how your lifestyle changes are benefiting your whole family. Very cool!

Under1Rule: welcome!!

zoodoo: the contents of your fridge sound yummy!

SMess: bravo to you for still taking care of you, and also for being such a wonderful and caring daughter. I can't imagine how hard this all is for you but what a gift you are giving your mom by being there for her during this time.

Also, thanks for the tip on the tea I'm not a regular tea drinker but I do have green tea in the house and also chaga that I make tea with so I will try those next time. I also keep Bragg's apple cider vinegar around b/c I find that often a painful tummy is caused by not enough acid instead of what might be thought of as too much.

LGW: congrats on the weight loss! Keep up the great work

Diana: sorry the bday cake made you not feel good. Thanks for the info about sugar alcohols, I will check the low cal/fat sweet stuff I've been eating and see what's in there. I did have another piece of the mock cheesecake last night and my tummy doesn't feel great, but I also ate a very high carb supper and I'm tired, so it's hard to isolate the issue. But I will try stevia in the recipe next time and see if it makes a difference.

Yesterday was long and exhausting. Went up to help a woman with a video for her late husband's memorial and my computer was not acting right which made the whole thing stressful. I will get it sorted so she can have a rough draft by Thurs and a final by Sat. Got home late. Now to get my guys up so we can head out to the Imax to see the new Harry Potter. We are going to a diner for breakfast first.

Friends who's uncle it was that passed away fed us last night. Spaghetti with meat sauce and cheese filled breadsticks. I ate a small portion of spaghetti, a bigger portion of sauce, and 1 breadstick. I also had 2 or 3 shout outs girl scout cookies. Calculated everything as best I could when i got home and carbs were high, but overall it wasn't that bad. And my bs was still in the 140s this am so I am feeling pretty good about things. And "unofficially" I'm down another 1.5 pounds which brings me to an even 10 since I rejoined 3FC

Today I will make decent choices at breakfast, and forego popcorn and candy at the movies, but I am going to sneak in some nuts to munch on. So probably will be a higher fat day today, but will still be a lot better than most movie days.

Happy, healthy Sunday to all
Jen

Good Morning, Everyone!

Thank you for the Birthday Wishes! I appreciate you thinking about me.

Well, the scale was not kind to me this morning. I didn't expect it to be, though. Hmm, let's see, was it the sodium from the soup, bacon, or maybe the 2 pieces of chocolate cake, or it could be pending TTOM/hormonal stuff. Oh, well, I will deal with it.

Weigh In: 146.4
Up: 2.4 pounds

Isn't it funny how long it takes to lose 2.4 pounds, but you can gain that much overnight?

Darius How are things going with you?

Larry Great Mickey Mouse!

Alaskanlaughter Eww, I can see how he/that could make you feel slimy! Some people are just weirdos. What does your sister say about it? LOL on the probation officer.

Jen The higher carb/sugar foods make me feel bad. I feel yucky, kinda sick to my stomach, tired, sleepy, etc. I think that's what happened with the cake yesterday. Maybe that's what's getting to you, too. Check ingredients in the sweet stuff to see what's in there. Enjoy the Harry Potter movie.

Oh, don't you worry K9. I've got enough blonde in me to cover ten people! Yesterday was a perfect example - I was cleaning up after dinner and got distracted by a phone call, so I finished up and wandered off to take it. My brother came by ten minutes later asking why the milk was in the dishwasher.
