Ouch!
Seriously though, it's a good strategy. Well, not the injury part, but the distraction. Doesn't always work, but it's worth a try. Tell yourself you can have it, just not now.
Last week there were leftover sandwiches in the kitchen at work. I wanted one so bad, but I waited. And waited. And finally the craving left. Then, at the very end of the day I went in to wash out my mug and ate one. Sigh. Maybe I should have kicked something instead.
