Wow, I think you got some good advice, almost everything I would suggest got covered.
I would suggest seeing your doctor for any other potential medical issues. I would also suggest that you really calorie count like on MyPlate, because having the true number and the breakdown of carbs/protein/fat was so helpful to me. I eat 1,500 a day and am losing about 5 lbs. a month. Also, stress and lack of sleep can keep you from losing, so be nice to yourself and take care of those needs. Good luck! |
Milmin-Thanks for the tips! They are worth a shot!
JessLess- I have been tracking on fitday and livestrong for over a year.. got that part covered! ;) I honestly think that in part with my hypothyroidism, my body is just being stubborn. I of course, have been to the doctor to follow up on my thyroid levels.. they are all in range these days, so we have left my dose. I take .1mg a gay, which is a pretty standard dose.. not to high, not too low. My doctor has also made me very aware that it will be difficult for me to lose. He has offered to "up" the dose a bit to help, but I dont want to risk being HypERthyroidism.. so after discussing this and the potential negative effects, I have decided that I will just need to work my bum off! Once I get into that healthy weight range, it should help with my "sluggy" feelings I have from time to time. Trust me when I say, I have tried a lot of different "tricks" many of which are posted here. Upping cals, reducing cals, changing workouts, taking a break, cutting out this, cutting out that.. blah blah blah. haha!! I am going to try calorie cycleing and just keep living my life. I am not defined by the number on the scale.. |
Well, you look great in your progress pictures. I hope you can enjoy that, because if my abs looked like that I'd be showing them off all day. :)
