I'm starting a new weight-loss program on Friday and suddenly have this urge to binge as a last hurrah before the true weight loss gets under way. Help me stay good!

Well, your starting weight for your weight loss can either be what it is TODAY, or it can be what it is today + the damage you'd do by binging. Do you want to move intentionally away from your goals?

No, of course not. But I've gotten into this habit of saying "I'll start tomorrow" and then binging today. I just don't know how to break the cycle.

Start today. Why wait until Friday?

Also, if the new plan is something you're dreading starting, are you sure it's the right plan for you?

I'm starting Friday because I'll be working with a dietitian and the appointment is Friday morning.

Thank you for all the support. I got through the sudden urge to binge and am doing far better now.
