Hey. Another day done and gone.
I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling yuck Chris. I get that way too.... they had to give me meds. They helped alot but now I'm too poor to refill the Rx. I find that exercise helps if I can get myself out of bed to do it. Food does not. Sure it helps at the moment, but then when its gone I just feel worse 'cause I know I shouldn't have done that. The sun thing is valid. Family BS sucks, too. We're here for ya babe. :grouphug: Kempy - I have the eye of Horus (Ra reversed) on my lower back. ;) Love it. I also have a 18" tall dancing Hindu goddes covering my lower/mid back, and flowers starting on the top of my right foot and wrapping around the ankle. My first was a small yellow rose on that ankle when I was 14. My father is a tat artist. Needless to say, I have plans to expand both my back and leg pieces. Just need the hot little body to go with them, HMMMMMMMMMM.:chin: Speaking of... I went to the Step class today, 2nd time there, and left ticked off and with a headache. The instructor kept making these pointed comments about how I wasn't keeping up. I mean come on, it's my second class and she moves so fast between moves that I ended up confused and left in the dust. I actully noticed myself wringing my hands. Something that I do when I get stressed out. Maybe I'll give her one more try on Friday, but I am definately going to talk to her about the rudeness. The worst part, I didn't even feel like I got a workout 'cause I was so befuddled with the moves that she was doing. o-well, always tommorow. talk to ya then, -W- |
You guys are all so brave. I want a tattoo but I will NEVER have guts enough to get one. I hate needles. I did an "unofficial" weigh in today and it put me at 170.5(-2pounds)I am so close to being out of the 170's.I can't wait
MissWashu, that is too bad that your instructor was a little *****y. I would definately tell her that wasn't cool. You are paying for her services and she has no reason to embarrass you like that. I hope it gets funner for you. Chris, How are you feeling today? Maybe you are sleeping too much. I do that usually at the beginning of winter and then when I do get out of bed all I want to do is just lay around. LOL Kempy, How are you doing? I haven't talked to you forever. |
Hey. Feeling better today. Talked to hubby this morning. I think the answer may be that I should just get up, every morning, even if I cdon't have an appnt. until afternoon. Have breakfst, talk to hubby. Then, take the dog to then ext town over, and take her fora nice wakl near the water. That way, I'm out of the house, and have someting to do. And, I do like walking there, it's where grandma lives, and it's really nice. We try to walk after dinner at her house. Another issue: we have dinner there 3 x per week. Kinda makes me feel like a kid, but hubby needs that family tie i guess. So, i think my planfor the winter is to getup and dressed, get out of the house, even for a walk. then, by the afternoon appnts, i'm not cranky and stuffy. And, it will get me my exercise, during the day, like I keep *****ing about. It's just hard, cuse this new job has a new routine, and for now at lest, i'm gonna be busy seeing my kids (teens) after school. that leaves me free allmorning. So, i'll work it out. maybe start setting up day time parties for my new scrapbook business. Just need the people. I'll see. Feeling better so far today. Dropped off an order, and checked my office e-mail at another office. Stopped by old office and chatted with old coworkers. Got be out. I'll stop at a church ladies house. I tol dher i had her order, and she invited me for lunch at noon, with another lady, who's interested in my stuff. So, it's a start. Today is better. Sorry to ramble on about nothing.

Chris is today any better for you?
W do you take aerobics at a gym? If so you need to speak with the manger or owner. We had an instructor that would talk down to the members and they hated her for it. She even yelled at me one day. I had to put her in her place after all I am her boss and I did nothing to warrant the yelling. Angie good job girlie! Seeing you do this makes me want to push harder. I looked for your green light yesterday around 3 my time but I didn't see it. I was going to pm you then. Noelle how is your day going? I am sure you are just getting up. I was bad this morning. I set my alarm for 5:45 and I woke up at 1 AM and changed it to 6:45. That is terrible I am sabbotaging my own workouts. Needless to say that didn't give me any time to get to the gym. I think Joe will be home by the time I get home so I might come back up here tonight after work with him. I love working out with him. He pushes me. Of course, tomorrow I will be cusing him for all of the pain that I am in. lol |
Well, i'mm really happy that I changed my routine today. I got up, and got out. I endedup haivng lunch with a friend from church, shared some thoughts I had about scrapbooking parties, and then came home, took a long walk. Slipperyt outside, bitter cold, but good for me. I have two more appnts, and then I come home and crash. Ate lunch, leftover pasta. No big deal, had a great talk with the friend. Triyng not to be alone too much cause it depresses me. Hubby subbed at the school today, and that's why I had to get out... too much alone time and I get antsy. So, today was okay.
|
Good for you. I like days when I feel like I have gotten things accomplished.
|
Kempy, why don't you forget about trying to exercise in the mornings. I could never make myself get up early and exercise so I know exactly how you feel. I am not a morning person. LOL
You were asking last week what to have Joe help you with and this is a great idea. If you love to workout with him and he looks like a bodybuilder so I am assuming he likes to workout then on the nights he is home why don't you two go to the gym together and that can be your workout time. It would probably be alot easier for you to do that. |
I would love to do that but he doesn't really do cardio. I need to cardio. Really I need both. He doesn't want to stay an extra hour for me to do cardio and if he leaves I will follow. I have no desire to stay at work longer than I have to.

Good morning all. I'm feeling good today. Scale said 196 this morning...losing all that bloat from all the bad eating over the New Year's eve. Drank soooo much water yesterday and forced myself to walk 2 days in a row. Went to the grocery store to stock up on fresh fruit and veggies too. So I plan on being "good".
Chris, glad to hear today is better for you. I know sometimes just getting out and about makes me feel better. A change in routine is always hard. Talk to us about it, hope that helps. Kempy, I wish my hubby would exercise w/me or teach me to exercise well. The most I can get him to do is go for a walk on 1 weekend day, and for that I am thankful. If he does decide he wants to go on an exercise kick he likes to do pushups and situps and use those 35 lb handweights which I only use as a doorstop. I'm one of those people who won't join a gym because I don't want to be seen exercising in public in front of other way-fit people--or worse, have those condescending instructors like Washu had. Angie, you've got me interested in an elliptical machine. I keep looking at it when I go to Sam's Club. Do you love it? I'm impressed by your dedication and am awed by your results so far. Keep it up girl, you rock! Washu, are you right in Seattle? I love that place. Got to visit there 2 years ago during the summer. It was sunny the whole week I was there and about 70-75 degrees. Very strange or so I hear. I was supposed to be in a 3 day conference but it was so beautiful out that I only went 1.5 days and ditched the rest of the time. I have a girlfriend who moved up there a few years ago but she lives in Federal Way. I'd love to go back and visit again. That zoo you guys have up there is cool too. |
I love the elliptical machine. Since I bought it I haven't touched the treadmill. I just keep switching off with my recumbent bike. It is so much quieter than the treadmill so it makes watching tv and working out so much easier. It is actually fun to do now that I have gotten used to it too. Like you I won't go to a gym either. I do not like people staring at me(it was my pet peeve in my yearbook too. LOL) I would rather have a livingroom full of equipment waiting for me when iam ready to do it. I split my workouts up so it is easier to get done.
Kempy, do your cardio while he lifts weights.:^: |
I think the elipctical is great. I like it better than all of the other cardio equip. that we have.
I just got off the phone with Joe and he said that he is to sore to workout tonight. So, I guess I will go have to go home and find things to keep me moving. (maybe Joe hubba hubba lol) I do need to rearrange a closet, I bought some shelves and I still have not put them up. |
I think i'm gonna go get a workout DVD, since my vcr is upstairsi n the bedroom,a nd the dvd palayer, withe the workout spcae, is in the basement... where our big TV is. So, i need to invest ina workout dvd asap. Then i can stop *****ing about my lack of equiptment. Glad to hear that everyones exercising, however you do it.

HI
I just figured out how everyone posts their weight under their names. Ya learn something new everyday.:)
|
Svelte - Good move. I know exactly what you mean about being home alone. We get lonely, bored, antsy, and then depressed. Most of the time I don't even recognize the trend, good for you for noticing. And for doing something about it!!! :cp:
Kempy - Yes, it was at the gym where I have that guest membership. I'm going to speak with her first, but have no problem going over her head if she continues to be a *****. Ya know, it's wierd how small psychological stuff like that affects me. I didn't go workout today. Just didn't want to go back there... I did do a video at home however, so today's not a total loss. I'll do two hours tommorow to make up for it. Cardio and Upper-body... yay. Noelle - yes, I live on lower Queen Anne, near the Seattle Center. Not to long ago, (all of last year 'til October) I lived about 6 blocks away from the zoo. :p what a trip, they must have fed the animals mid-morning 'cause around 10am we could hear the Hyenas raising ****. Hyenas or Baboons, I never really could tell...:?: Anyway, I miss going for walks in that neighborhood. Angie - way to go!!! 2# is great and beating the 170's is something to celebrate. Yay for you!!! At this point I would kill to see any kind of change on the scale. Why do I have to plateau now? :^: I also like the eliptical machine, easier on the knees than the treadmill. If I could, I'd buy one. Well I'd better move on. See ya'll later. -Washu- 190/180 still/150 |
Hey all, I did my hour last night. I wasn't going to but then I decided I wanted some of the cheese and crackers that I bought Monday so I better do the full hour . I have been noticing a big difference in my body this week. My shoulders are bonier and my back is alot less fatty,my hips are smaller. I am starting to feel great. I was playing in my closet yesterday and I have a pair of 14 shorts that I couldn't even squeeze into in August and now they are to big!!!! I LOVE IT>
Miss Washu, How long have you been plateauing? I bet with all the exercising you have been doing it will move soon. Chris, I think an exercise DVD is just what you need. You already know most of the moves and can keep up with them. This way it won't matter if your class gets cancelled on ya. Good for You!:p |
Angie, listen to you talk! I am so impressed to hear you motivating people, and feeling good youself. I love that you see change sin your body. I think I'm where Washu is, plateauing, at least I"ve been plateauing for a few months now. I think changing your body so much takes a lot outa your mind and body, literally. And maybe we've been sitting at this weight, cause it needed a break from the shrinkin... but, my motivation is returning, thanks to you girls, and i'm ready to head for my goal... scale says 158 this morning, and today's my cleansing, so it's cabbage soup, salad, fruit all day long. I'll strt today with a new attitude. I wanna feel as good as you girls again... i'l get taht dvd today... i'll take that walk this afternoon. I'll change my mind.... Woo-Hoo the fire's returning to me. I"m excited already. Keep me pumped girls, and don't let me get depressed if you can stop me... big hugs to all you who didn't let me fall down this mountain... @-------<------------------------------------------
|
Hi everyone,
I am on that plateau too - been 145 for weeks, since before Christmas. But this week I have gone back on the treadmill and lifting weights so am hoping to see the scale move soon! And am trying to ignore the lovely bagels in the kitchen - had one dry for breakfast but I could easily eat more, they are so good! Haave a great day! Talk to you later, Lidian |
This is so strange!!! I have been feeling so good all week and noticing how much thinner I feel and the whole time I am PMSing. I started today and I don't feel a bit bloated. On a funny note though, Jay had a massive headache last night. Sympathy PMS?HAHA
|
Kempy, Where are ya? I just read about your loss in your journal. CONGRATS!!
|
I am here. I have just been checking in during the day. I have been keeping myself busy so the boss doesn't think anything.
I have actually had a time like you are haveing Angie. It was the weirdest thing. I am so used to gaining 5 lbs of water that I just took it for a normwl thing and when it didn't happen I didn't know what to think. I hope it stays that way for you! Thanks on the congrates. I switched birth control to one that has a mild diuretic in it so I think that may be what did it for me. The drug rep said thatI would probably lose 2-3 lbs. I didn't think it would be thia fast thoguh. I just started taking them last week. |
arggghhh!!! I just typed a whole long motivational speech and clicked on the previous page button and *shazam!*--all gone! Anyway, sounds like all you great ladies are on an upward and postive trend (only in attitude and never in poundage). So never mind about all that cheerleader stuff. But GO CHRIS GO! You are THE svelte chicky :) .
Angie, what more can I say? You're still awesome--and gettin' bony too (heehee). I'll need to lose about 40 more lbs to get into a size 12 methinks. Kempy, congrats again on that superb 3.5# loss. It does count no matter water or fat. Weight is weight and dat scale don't discriminate (boy don't I know it!). Lidian and Washu the scale WILL start moving because you are moving. Just keep it up and drink all the water you can. Chugalug chugalug. Musicgal and 1fatlady--where are you? Lurking about? Hope you two are faring well. Let us know if you need some motivation. If not, I need some myself  . Oh well, so much for not being a cheerleader...I guess I just had to get that out of my system. Let's drop this excess weight and be the best that we can be. Just do it! |
Cmon Noelle, What do you need in way of encouraging? Where are ya having trouble? You sound like a pretty damn good chearleader to me.
I have a strange question. Laugh if you must but...When your period starts do any of you feel extra ...uuhmm...Frisky? I swear to god I am fine all month but the day I start(the day I can't do anything about it) I am so damn ready I just want to maul Jay. What kind of mean joke is that to play on my body? Damn hormones.:stress: |
I feel pretty "frisky" the week before--which is actually pretty good because I tend to get headaches during the day at the same time. From what I unnerstan' is that the Big O helps relieve tension and increases bloodflow etc etc to all parts of the body including the brain thereby relieving the headache. (I'm not saying I get headache relief every time, but it's sure fun tryin  )
Or maybe it's just like food. If you know you can't have it the more you want it??? Thanks for making me analyze my "mauling" patterns (haha) |
Wow, I had a very busy day at work, couldn't get here and look at all the chit chat! Love it! Looks like NOelle has taken on the role of Motivator, i'm also loivng your encouragemtn. Keep it coming, cause sometimes I motivate when I need it too,a nd it lifts my spirits, and helps me feel better. You are so right, no matter where the weight comes off, whether it's water, fat, it's weight, be proud!! Strut your stuff girls!!
I also get frisky right at the beginning of my period, and I hate it, cause i'M frisky, and can't do nuttin bout it. Hubby says, tell me when you're free and clear. Know what? I think your periods are not so bad cause your drinking lots of water, and eating healthy. Cause when you hve lots of B vitramins, your cramps are less, and your body deals better with the period. Of cours,e every other motnh is **** for me, I tihnk it's because each month, your body takes the egg from a different ovary, which means that when I am having the right side, it's ****, but the left side is like no big deal. my doctor told me that I"m more susecptible for UTI's and stuff,a nd yeast infections when I ovulate from one side. Weird? Haven't had eithe irn over a year, but good to know. Had aerobics last night, thank God! Met some new girls, that was great. New routine though, and that's hard to learn. It's like drance class. Which makes me feel like i'm on broadway. Imagine me...i'm a ham. Oh! I did buy a Dvd workout. Pilates, spot shaping: arms, abs, hips, thighs. It was priced right, and the only one left. And i love pilates, so it was what I kinda wanted to find. The lady on it is so great, and relaxing. So, when I'm not aerobicsing, i'll walk, and then come back and do the tape... maybe one or the other, can't kill myself. figure out how to get the dog a walk, and still do the video. Pilates is wonderulf, and i was just needing it to be downstairs. now i have it, and i'm excited. |
Okay, it's that time again.. time to switch to a new thread... man can we girls chat it up, huh> Okay, it's called Shrinkin' Violets, for upcoming Spring, and for the phase we're in ... losers, and loving it!!! Look for me there... hope you all get this message before you start typing!!
