broiled scallops at a restaurant?

  • would this be a good choice calorie and fat wise?
  • You might have to ask for "no added fat." I'm sure most restaurants would slather them with butter before or after they go under the broiler. Scallops by themselves are low in fat and high in protein, so I'd say they'd be a good choice.
  • Yes, as long as they're not broiled in a mess of butter. If they're broiled without much added fat, scallops are an excellent restaurant choice.
  • it says served with lemon and butter so i am going to ask for no butter and hopefully they can do that..im going to out to eat @5:30 and really wanna make a smart choice
  • And while you are asking, ask them to go light on the salt!
  • Of course, if you're on the low carb way of eating, the butter is fine.
