Exclamation Bread=blah, thoughts?

Hello,
I’m writing today to inquire about an issue I have. I seem to react to breads and pastas. Whenever I eat breads I get super bloated, sluggish, tired and feel like blah. Same with pasta.
But it is not just a carb thing; say if I eat ice cream I feel ok.
Could it be a gluten thing?
I had been on Medifast for the last year. With that program I lost 70 lbs and felt great. I’m sure you aware of the program.
What are your thoughts?
Thank you for your time

I don't have issues with gluten, and I'm sorry I don't know much about Medifast, but I do feel sluggish if I eat a glut of refined carbohydrates without protein. Whole wheat toast with some peanut butter and I feel just fine. But white bread toast with jam and not so much. But I feel fine if I have an English muffin with jam if I also eat a couple of eggs with it. So for me what works is a smaller serving of carbohydrates and always eating some protein with it, otherwise I feel bloated and tired too. Not sure if that's helpful, but that's my story with breads, pasta etc.

Maybe it's a flour, wheat issue? There are alternatives
out there. Rice, coconutand possibly others.
I'm sensitive to almost all starch. I've tried a rice
bread that I like. It's awful small with a density
to it. I think it is 21g carb per slice. I'm not a big bread
eater and keep mine in the freezer. It's about
$6 per loaf too! For me it's more about allowing myself
bread to have a less dull diet. Maybe you can try
this out. I just remembered there's also corn or
potato bread too. If you can zero in on what your
body tolerates and then switch to that type of starch.
