2 to 3 pounds is average, but it's not uncommon to fluctuate 4 or 5.
My guess is you had a big fluctuation day, then got dehydrated with the infection and that added a couple of pounds to the total. I did have the world's worst stomach bug one time and lost 6 true pounds in 24 hours. I can tell you, there were moments when I honestly thought I was going to die, so I *think* that is about the most weight I could actually lose in 24 hours. I could be wrong though. My friend has water retention issues and she can fluctuate like 10lbs a day. Pretty miserable stuff really. |
I am usually 4 lbs heavier at night but I have seen 6 lbs heavier on occasion. I have been in menapause for three years so no hormanal shifts. A lot depends on what I eat and drink during the day. I might have a higher flux but I do not weigh during the day and only occasionally at night.
