I use my small dessert plates now to eat my meals instead of the bigger dinner plates, this makes quite a difference of how much you will put on your plate. I put a little bit of everything on the plate I planned to eat and yes I do finish it but the portions are smaller. I also make an attempt to take my time eating as not to overload my stomach (so it can do its job properly). These little habits have helped me tremendously.
Oh, and if you are eating out, ask for the to-go box from the beginning and portion out your meal then put the rest in the box for your next meal.
I am not under-eating but I was overeating before.
