Some Significant Progress

I am on this website nearly every day, I just don't contribute very often. Still, I get so much inspiration out of reading about others working towards the same goal!

A month or so ago I did post a thread, titled "Patience", I believe. It was mainly about how my main hurdle in my weight loss attempts in college and the year since have been an impatient all or nothing attitude. I got so much great advice, I just had to post a little update!

Since February 7th I have been staying consistent with my weight loss efforts. That is not to say that I was perfect (by any means) but I never lost sight of my plan or "fell off the wagon" or "started again Monday," I told myself I was still "on plan" no matter what. Even in the two minutes after a bad choice at a restaurant, or a snack on the couch. Anyway, it worked!

I still have a long way to go, but as of this morning I have lost ten pounds in a little less than a month. I'm down to 124 from 134 on February 7th!

Thanks everyone for the daily adivce and motivation, whether you know you've been helpful or not. Here's to patience! :)

That's great - congrats!
And don't worry about being perfect - nobody is. It is important not to have the *all or nothing* attitude (although it takes time and practice). Good for you for being consistent!

Congratulations! It always feels so good to really know that you have worked hard and consistently to accomplish something, and have achieved it. Cheers to the additional successful months I am sure are in your future. :)

Yay for you! I think it's about forgiving yourself when you slip up. It's inevitable.
