Looks like it's paying off, but does this seem plausible?

I know I measured right, myself and my mom did it over and over, just to make sure. If you see a number that is impossible in a two week span let me know, I don't want to get over excited when I've been doing SOMETHING wrong the whole time.

Week 1:
Waist : 44.4 inches -Been doing this around my belly button-
Thigh : 26.0 inches -around the thickest part below my crotch-
Arm : 14.2 inches -around the bicep-
Calf : 17.0 inches -around the thickest part (the muscle)-
Chest : 46.8 inches -directly below my breasts-

I measured in the EXACT same places today, after my fit test, and this is what I got. I might not be measuring in the RIGHT places for each area, but I know I'm measuring the same place exactly.

Week 1:
Waist : 44.6 inches + 0.2
Thigh : 25.4 inches - 0.6
Arm : 12.5 inches - 1.7
Calf : 16.1 inches - 0.9
Chest : 38.5 inches - 8.3

Total : 11.3

The chest area is what really shocked me, and I just COULDN'T believe it. Does this seem plausible? Could I have really lost so many inches in two weeks, or am I seriously doing something wrong here?

were you wearing the same clothes? and did you feel or seem bloated at either measurement?

xXLosingItXx 02-07-2011 11:41 PM

I wasn't wearing any, other than undergarments. I was thinking I might be a little bloated but I am pretty much the same in my waist, which is where I always notice it. Overall, I felt the same :c

All but the chest seem doable. But if you had measure holding your breath IN the first time and then measure holding your breath OUT the 2nd time that could be it.

A.

xXLosingItXx 02-07-2011 11:48 PM

I don't hold my breath when I do any of this...wow until now I never really paid any attention, I just kept breathing like nothing was happening. Maybe we just misread the first time or something :C

oh to lose in my legs first! that would be cool! my thighs/hips are the last to go lol.

but i think you're doing great! keep it up!

Katydid77 02-07-2011 11:51 PM

You're doing great, although, honestly I don't think that 8 inches is feasible in that time, unless there was some sort of 'something' else figured into the equation.

Like swelling, bloat, etc. . . .

Glad to see the measurements are going down overall though!

xXLosingItXx 02-08-2011 12:05 AM

Yeah, thats why I asked, everything else seemed normal and then I get to that area and I was like....what? I remeasured so many times. Honestly I think SOMEWHERE I messed up on the first day. maybe it was bloating, or swelling like you said :)

Thanks guys :D

You mentioned undergarments. Were they the same as well? I know my measurements are vastly different around the bust when wearing my Victoria's secret bras compared to my thinner, Fantasie brand ones. It has to do with the lift/shape of the bras. The other measurements seem plausible. GOOD JOB!

xXLosingItXx 02-08-2011 01:52 AM

Hm, I was wearing the same bra. I think its really perplexing, honestly, I might just measure out what I was before and see if it LOOKS normal, if not I know I didnt do something right. Thanks a lot!!!

niafabo 02-08-2011 07:36 AM

well if it was possible for you to wear the same bra without it randomly drooping all over the place the 8" doesn't really seem plausible. good job on losing in your thighs and arms though. :)

In my opinion your waist measurement seems like it might be off. Where are you taking your waist measurement?

The proper place is about 1 inch above the belly button at the natural side bend of the torso. I find it hard to believe that you would have a true 44" waist.

This might be different if your stomach is dropped. She is 5'1" so it is possible but you're right it is a sort of large number for her weight.

I weight 20lbs more than her and I have smaller measurements. Everyone's body is different.

I agree with a lot of what the other posters have suggested but heres my input.
I work for VS and so I do bust measurements in my sleep and you cant get an accurate reading doing them on yourself. You just cant, I will agree that with anyone to the bitter end. You can get pretty close but just have someone else do it for you.
Secondly, I'm studying health science at school so we do body composition measurements alot and usually it is more accurate for someone else to do all your measurements and as the other posters have said, wear the same clothing, stand tall and monitor how youre breathing.
